Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital New Grad RN Residency March 2020

Updated:   Published

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to start a thread for Stanford LPCH’s new RN residency for Spring 2020. Application opened Oct 1 and closes Nov 1.

I personally haven’t submitted mine yet, but wondering what units you are applying to. Also, if you don’t mind sharing any info about yourself or what you feel may help your app stand out (i.e. peds preceptorship, went to school in bay area) I’d appreciate it!

Hi! Where did you hear that they weren't hiring for medsurg?

PCU 200 will be accepting new grads. Its a stepdown cardiac unit. Not sure about 300 or 400. 5th floor will be opening this month which will be heme/onc and stem cell, they will also be accepting new grads.

I don't have much information about the critical care units, L/D, PP.(CVICU seems to be looking for RNII last time I checked, not sure what that means for us new grads.)

Hi all! Does anyone have information on the timeline for interview notifications, etc.? Thanks in advance ?

Hi! I found the all nurses page for the March 2019 cohort and it seems like those that were offered an interview did not find out until mid-December! And then it seems like the first interview was in the first two weeks of January and those that had a second interview had it towards the end of January.

Hello! I reached out to HR today and was informed that we should start hearing of our application statuses the week of December 16th. Good luck to everyone! ?

anyone hear anything today?!

HR said "We will be notifying candidates of their application status starting the end of this week and into next week." Good luck everyone!

Has anyone heard back yet? ? this wait is killing me.....

Does everyone's application status still just say "submitted"?

This might be a silly question, but how are you all checking on your application status?
