Hi everyone,

Just wanted to start a thread for Stanford LPCH’s new RN residency for Spring 2020. Application opened Oct 1 and closes Nov 1.

I personally haven’t submitted mine yet, but wondering what units you are applying to. Also, if you don’t mind sharing any info about yourself or what you feel may help your app stand out (i.e. peds preceptorship, went to school in bay area) I’d appreciate it!

I haven’t tried that, I assumed we were waiting for a call. Should we try and reach out? Although I bet they are very busy already. Which unit did you interview for?

That was my assumption as well. My gut is saying to just wait, but I was curious if anyone else had tried reaching out. I interviewed for the acute care units. Yourself?

I also interviewed with the acute care units and haven't heard anything yet. I am also torn about reaching out because I really want to know but I am sure a lot of people are emailing and I don't want to add to the chaos lol

I was wondering if the panel/managers that you interviewed with said that if we don’t hear back by a certain day, we should email them?

I got something along those lines but I’m not sure if they meant HR or them (they gave me their business cards).

I feel like I should reach out to HR first...thoughts?

I didn't hear anything like that from them, but it might be worth a shot to contact HR if you heard it from them. They told me that they would submit their final decisions to HR last week and that we'd be contacted early this week if we received a spot.

They told me they give their cards to everyone after the interview to reach out and I haven't used it other than to send a thank you. I would probably try to contact HR by the end of this week if we haven't heard anything. Because I'm not sure how that email would look if we emailed the managers directly

I'm not sure how I would phrase that email to the managers*

Did anyone end up emailing and getting a response?

Specializes in med-surg.

I emailed about the NCLEX because I have not taken it yet, but we need it by March 16 in case anyone is wondering!

Which units put out offers beside maternity and NICU?

For all of the folks that received positions, congratulations! Could any of you share if you received your offer over the phone or if it was through email? Thanks!

I believe we all got a verbal offer over the phone and then it was followed up days - weeks later with an official offer and contract to sign.
