LSU Spring 2018 BSN

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi there! Im sure it's alittle early, seeing as the semester's not quite over, but I was wondering if there was anyone else out there applying to LSU SON Spring 2018 traditional BSN? I figured I'd start up a topic so we could have somewhere to network and help each other out. Has anyone else already taken the HESI? Or previously applied? I've already taken the HESI and scored pretty well but I'm so nervous and worried it still won't be enough since LSU is super competitive and this will be my first time applying to any nursing school. Does anyone know what the average scores/GPA that was accepted the past couple of entering classes? Any advice would be super helpful! Thanks!

Alrighty... when are you guys supposed to hear from the school (acceptance)?

Hopefully the week of the 16th.

Hey, do any of you know what you are doing for housing at lsuhsc? And do you guys think coming in for the spring semester will make on campus housing availability a problem? I'm coming from out of state so this will help a lot!

Where are you coming from? I am an out of state student applying for the fall cohort. Just wanted to know how the experience might have differed from actually being in LA.

THanks!

I'm coming from California as well! I'm from Long Beach. Do you mean the experience of applying from out of state?

Ah! Yes!!! Another Californian! I just got excited. Yes, the experience of applying from out of state. Were you able to go to an orientation? Did you fly in to do the essay, or did they allow you to send one in? All that jazz :)

I heard from a girl in my group during the essay say that housing for the apartments on campus are all filled right now and there's a waitlist. The only things she said that are available now are the dorms. That's just what I heard. I don't wanna get ahead of myself, but if i do get in, i'm also not too sure what i'll do for housing. :/

It isn't too bad, I did have to fly in for the essay after trying to see if I could take it closer to where I live but it was still nice to get a tour of the school and see where I would be going. Most everything else I was able to do online or here! It was pretty straightforward but I still wish I could see somethings if I wanted too, rather then having to call about them or hope they are online.

Yeah I don't really wanna get ahead of myself too until I know for sure I'm accepted or not, but I sent in my application and I'm hoping I get something that is a good price :/.

Hey guys just recieved my alternate letter, so I've been wait listed. Check your emails! Congrats to those who got in!

I haven't received anything yet. I suppose they don't send all of the emails at once? I'm stressing!

Just received my alternate letter as well. Do you know anything about when the deadline is for if anyone who is waitlisted if they will get in or not?
