  1. Has anyone on the alternate list received anything yet? I've been patiently waiting and I'm getting anxious.
  2. I contacted their office and they said that they do not inform alternates of their spot on the list, but I guess that means they do have a ranking then? But they said the students who have been accepted have until the 27th to accept their position, if anyone declines then they consider the students on the alternate list, and once the cohort has been filled they will let us know.
  3. Most definitely! He was pretty quick last time I emailed him, but I'm pretty sure a good bit of people are emailing him the same questions
  4. I just emailed the director asking about how it works, if it's ranked or not, and what I need to improve on so I can prepare for my next application if a spot doesnt open up.
  5. Im sure it's no longer than sometime next month. But some people don't pass micro or give up their spot really close to the first day. I've heard of them calling up people the day before the first day of class to see if they want to take a spot which I'm sure doesn't happen every year but can't hurt to be ready for that call.
  6. Hey guys just recieved my alternate letter, so I've been wait listed. Check your emails! Congrats to those who got in!
  7. Hey did you find out yet? We just completely finished the application process down here and won't get letters until Oct. 25th. SO nerve wrecking.
  8. Mine was a little over page and a half. I think they just said 2 pages so no one would try to go over. They're already having to read 150-200 of these and I'm sure 2 pages is plenty to see how well we write. But the topic was simple enough to write about. And the tour made me want to be there so much more!! So excited about the cadaver lab!
  9. So try to get there like 30-45 minutes before, the start the tours about 30 minutes before
  10. I know I try not to get ahead of myself but at the same time I like being prepared just incase *fingers crossed!* But as far as I know thats all we do for the essay.
  11. I've been writing papers and speeches for classes almost every week since this semester started. If that doesn't help me I don't know what will.
  12. I found this once after seriously searching through the website (I had some serious time on my hands and was wondering the same thing). "Soph I" is the first semester. I don't know if they had to go to all the times listed or pick between them but here's the link. I'm sure it'll vary next semester but atleast you'll have an idea. 13. From what I've heard from the info sessions and the last application period's thread, is that its a easy topic, they just want to make sure you can write. They said they've had numerous people get accepted in the past and when they start class they can't even form a complete sentence or compose a decent paragraph.
  14. Right!? Hopefully we'll be getting ready for classes at lsu! Fingers crossed!
