LSU Spring 2018 BSN
Has anyone on the alternate list received anything yet? I've been patiently waiting and I'm getting anxious.

LSU Spring 2018 BSN
I contacted their office and they said that they do not inform alternates of their spot on the list, but I guess that means they do have a ranking then? But they said the students who have been accepted have until the 27th to accept their position, if anyone declines then they consider the students on the alternate list, and once the cohort has been filled they will let us know.

LSU Spring 2018 BSN
I just emailed the director asking about how it works, if it's ranked or not, and what I need to improve on so I can prepare for my next application if a spot doesnt open up.

LSU Spring 2018 BSN
Im sure it's no longer than sometime next month. But some people don't pass micro or give up their spot really close to the first day. I've heard of them calling up people the day before the first day of class to see if they want to take a spot which I'm sure doesn't happen every year but can't hurt to be ready for that call.

LSU Spring 2018 BSN
Mine was a little over page and a half. I think they just said 2 pages so no one would try to go over. They're already having to read 150-200 of these and I'm sure 2 pages is plenty to see how well we write. But the topic was simple enough to write about. And the tour made me want to be there so much more!! So excited about the cadaver lab!

LSU Spring 2018 BSN
I've been writing papers and speeches for classes almost every week since this semester started. If that doesn't help me I don't know what will.

LSU Spring 2018 BSN
I found this once after seriously searching through the website (I had some serious time on my hands and was wondering the same thing). "Soph I" is the first semester. I don't know if they had to go to all the times listed or pick between them but here's the link. I'm sure it'll vary next semester but atleast you'll have an idea. LSU Spring 2018 BSN
From what I've heard from the info sessions and the last application period's thread, is that its a easy topic, they just want to make sure you can write. They said they've had numerous people get accepted in the past and when they start class they can't even form a complete sentence or compose a decent paragraph.

Important!! Help
This picture I found maps out the different pathways. The NNP programs usually only require a BSN (bachelors in nursing) and a few years of work experience. So that being said, if you decide to get your RN (an Associate's) first rather than going all the way for a Bachelor's (BSN) you will have to enroll into a RN-to-BSN program in order to get your Bachelor's. (Which is fine since alot of RN-to-BSN programs are online, and you can work at getting your BSN while gaining your work experience that way since you'll already be licensed from getting your Associates.) Once you receive your BSN and you have the work experience you can go ahead and apply to the NNP programs of your choice. After you graduate from one of the NNP programs (receiving your master's from said program) you can go ahead and take the exams that grant you your NNP license. ** BSN and RN are both registered nurses its just different levels of education** ***I just took this picture from pinterest, I don't know if these values are completely accurate although they seem close. But it helps map out the process***

I was re-reading the page posted on the website and they suggest dress pants and a blouse/polo so I guess that's what I'll be wearing lol

LSU Spring 2018 BSN
On the website it says professional/business casual. So I'll probably where heals and a nice dress or pencil skirt. They have a button for information on the proctored essay, on the prospective students page

Fall 2017 Chat
I'm taking statistics, micro, abnormal psych, speech, and a literature class. SOOOOO much already with projects and homework and work, I slacked this week so next week will definitely be a catch up week. (I work weekends UGHH). All while applying to nursing school. Haha have my interview due Sunday and my essay is scheduled for the 28th (just some extra anxiety added on, no biggie....). So hopefully I can get back on track soon
