LSU Fall 2016 Applicants!

Published

anyone here going through the process of applying for LSUHSC Fall 2016 semester? This is such a nerve-wracking process and would love to discuss scores/gpa/letters with y'all!

They asked me why nursing, why LSU, name a time when you had a conflict with a peer & how did you resolve it, pick a core value & explain how you possess that (or something along those lines), who's your role model, and why should they choose you. I think there were a couple more but I cant remember! It definitely wasn't as nerve wrecking once I started talking. They're really nice so just be yourself! :)

Thank you so much! That makes me feel a lot better!

No problem! Let me know how yalls go!

If y'all don't mind me asking, did anyone apply to another nursing school? Or just LSU?

Yes, I applied to Charity as well! How about yourself?

I applied to Our Lady of the Lake. I was going to apply to Charity but I unfortunately missed the deadline

Thats good that you applied there also though! I liked Our Lady of the Lake a lot but I wasn't too into the location. I wanted a school in New Orleans for some reason.. I'm so weird haha

Yeah the location isn't the greatest but oh well. & I completely understand. I'm really hoping I get into LSU because I love the location of it. I'd so rather be in New Orleans too

Yes, I went to LSU in BR and I loved it but hated the traffic and how busy BR was and that's part of the reason I want to go to nursing school in the city.

Has anyone heard or know when they will be sending out letters? I know they meet on the 14th, but that's all I know

I heard they meet the 14th and possibly (??) send the letters out the next day? I'd say we are probably going to know by the 20th.

Yes, I was told at my interview that they meet March 14th and then letters are sent out either the end of the day on the 14th or the following morning on the 15th. They said we should expect letters (if you get accepted or wait listed) probably by the weekend or if not then by Monday the 22nd. If not, denial letters should be received in about a month I think. I'm keeping my fingers crossed I get something in the mail by the end of next week!
