anyone here going through the process of applying for LSUHSC Fall 2016 semester? This is such a nerve-wracking process and would love to discuss scores/gpa/letters with y'all!
Hello house.
I need your help regarding my acceptance to both LSU and Charity. My first choice is LSU but I am scared financial Aid may not cover all the tuition (Am a stay at home mom, only my husband works). I don't mind taking Anatomy again even though I got A in both 1&2. My major concern is financial when I compare LSU to charity. Does anyone know if financial aid covers basic tuition for LSU?
It depends on the amount of financial aid you're receiving. I know that LSU's tuition is more expensive and their financial aid isn't distributed until after the semester has started (thus causing many people to get emergency loans), but I honestly have no idea about charity. If you decide to attend LSU, you have to take anatomy again whether you've taken it before or not. Hope this helps!
Thanks so much for your input. Am so undecided. I don't want to take a loan, and I don't have the extra fund for paying out of pocket. Someone tell me what you will do if in my shoes. I don't have to retake anatomy with Charity, and financial aid is sure for me. LSU I have to retake anatomy, but not sure of financial help, but I will be done with my bachelors. PLS HELP!!!!
I would attend LSU. In my opinion, it is a better school and you would graduate with your bachelors. If you decide to attend charity, you will graduate with an associates and then later have to go back to school in order to get your bachelors (costing more money). Yes, LSU may be stressful financially in the beginning because financial aid takes a little while to disburse, but I think that it would pay off in the long run to attend a really good school and have your bachelors when you graduate! Not to mention, LSU has a higher passing rate for NCLEX. :)
That's just my opinion!

I'm in Baton Rouge. I heard people in Baton Rouge usually get theirs sooner than other people but I'm not sure.
