Hello all! I wanted to put out feelers and see who was applying for LSU's 2018 CRNA program. I submitted a personal check for the supplemental application and it has not been cashed. Do they accept personal checks or should I have submitted a money order or cashier's check? They usually call for interviews after the deadline, correct? Let's keep each other posted. I would love to hear from other applicants!
Hello GaMommy81,
Don't lose hope. There have been many instances where LSU lets you know weeks before the start of the semester. This could be because applicants had other priorities and finally heard from their primary choice (not LSU). They have paid the school to hold their spot and they just lose out on the deposit. I am a current student and this happened to numerous classmates. Good luck! If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
Thank you Happy1634. It has been difficult being in limbo this whole time but I know the waiting game is almost over. I have been trying to prepare myself as if I were accepted, but not hearing feedback from the school about being waitlisted has been a major stressor. I put in some apps to other schools and I am adding some things to strengthen my application, however LSU is my first choice.
I am on the waiting list too, not at LSU, but different school. Waiting is tough; esp, when you set high hope ! I am treating the alternate list as a soft "no" for me. Yes, I had to get everything ready; but I told myself if I got in this year, great !. If not, next year I'll be a better candidate !~
Sometimes, it is hard to say, but there's nothing we can do. We tried our best already. One year to wait, is nothing, for what we really want do for the rest of our life. Patience is a key !
Now everything is done for this year! I just put it to the side, and keep working hard and moving on! whatever happens, happens for good and it happens for a certain reason .. Good luck !
GaMommy you are absolutely right, patience is key. This experience will make you a better applicant in the end. I cannot remember how many applications I filled out before finally getting accepted to LSU last year. Don't give up hope just yet their a few people in the 2020 class that received acceptance emails just a few weeks before classes started.
Thank you zrenew. This is very encouraging. I am doing a lot to try and keep my mind off of waiting while I am waiting, but it is hard. Lol. I have heard of people getting accepted weeks before schools starts too but I was hoping (wishful thinking) for a little more time to prepare, meaning I knew that I was accepted and could start to prepare mentally and physically for the move. If I am called off the waiting list, Lord knows I will make it work, but it is just more stressful to plan at the last minute. I am staying positive though because I have a great feeling about LSU! I know that if it is meant to be, it will happen for me. I love the feedback that I have received thus far! It helps to calm my busy mind. I hope you all are having a great day!!
Well, the deadline for everybody (whether on the waiting list or accepted) to turn in documents has passed. I turned in all of my licenses and certs. Now I wait. Lol. Is anybody waiting with me? In the meantime I am staying busy and lining up some other school interviews. We all know by now I fell in love with LSU. We shall see what happens in the next few days or weeks. :)
