I just got the call last week I have been accepted to LSU! Starting Aug. 2010. Does anyone in the program have any advice on apartments in New Orleans or taking any of the classes early this summer?

Hi there. I just got a call for an interview at LSU next week. Wanted to know what kind of things they asked you and how long was the wait to find out that you got in. Thanks! By the way, BIG CONGRATS!!!! That is awesome!
Hello. I have an interview next Thursday at LSU and wanted to know if they asked very detailed clinical information. Also, how long did the interview take and how long was it before you were notified of your acceptance? Congrats on getting in! That is so awesome! I hope to be right there with you in August! We shall see!
So how was the interview? I am so glad that MSRN25 posted the info about the early acceptance. I sent in my app as soon as I heard that and got a call this last week. I have an interview there this coming Thursday. Miss Dukes told me that the interview would last about 20 minutes when I asked... Is that really correct?
I interviewed last Thurs. at LSU. The interview was totally laid back, and they really made you feel comfortable. It was with 3 interviewers who are all CRNA's and instructors at the school. True, it lasted approx. 20 minutes, and was more of a getting to know you and what you are all about kind of interview. They asked about my unit, and the kinds of patients I take, and then they asked me to tell them about 1 drug we use, and how it works. I was impressed with the people I met, and I feel good about the interview. We will see what happens. Good luck!!

Hello, I am from New Orleans and I am pretty familiar with the apartment situation there. I am not sure how much you are willing to spend. The Saulet is closer to the city and the school you will be attending and are pretty nice ye pricey. There are also a variety of 'Creek" apartments that are cheaper than The Saulet and are only about 10-15 minutes from the school/downtown. They are nice as well. There are alot of people in the uptown area (betweem the city and suburbs) that rent out rooms/apartments in their homes. Worth looking into. Craig's List may be another option. Hope this helps. Congrats on getting into LSU. I got into Univeristy at Buffalo and will be starting in August. Best of luck to you - n
