  1. The books we need for Patho, Pharm, and research are listed on the Medical bookstore website. See you guys in a few weeks! Enjoy the rest of your summer!
  2. Just called about booklist and they said that it may be posted on UBLEARNS before class begins, otherwise we would get it from the instructor on the 1st day of class.
  3. I am going to Buffalo to get my ID on Friday and I plan on calling the dept. Thursday and ask about the booklist. Will let you know what I find out.
  4. Some PACU units are ICU overflow and take alot of the more critical surgery patients and some schools accept this as "ICU/critical care" experience. My suggestion would be to call and/or meet with the program director of a few programs that you are interested in and explain your situation and goals (CCRN etc.) and ask them if they would accept PACU or not. Even if they say no, you can get an idea of exactly what the particular prgram is looking for and the program director will also know that you are serious about wanting to become a CRNA. It doesn't hurt to ask. Good luck!
  5. Those seem fine. My program wanted 3 recommendations. One from a professor of my undergraduate nursing program, and a supervisor specifically. I had those mentioned as well as another from a CRNA and my PCC from my CCU unit. I think you need to get recommendations from people you work with/shadow. They will be able to give a first hand account of your abilities. The people who read recommendation letters know a generic one when the see it. Good luck! nk- University at Buffalo starting Fall 2010
  6. Hey, do any of you guys know what ARR means on the schedule for nur 515?
  7. No book list, but the classes with Course numbers. I will e-mail you the info if you want. PM me your personal e-mail.
  8. Thanks so much for the info. I feel a bit better. :)
  9. Hey clssmates! I just got off the phone with UB and I ws told that they should be sending out information to us (probably by mail) about registration mid July. I was told that they are making some changes with the course numbers. Hope you all are having a good summer. - nathalie
  10. I haven't heard anything yet. I am with you, I would like to get the book list and order my books online (cheaper than bookstore) ahead of time. I really don't like this last minute stuff.
  11. Someone said that the program director should be contacting us this month.
  12. There are a good number of them that do not require the GRE if you have a certain GPA. UPENN, Our Lady of Lourdes, and University at Buffalo are justa few off the top of my head. Got to the AANA website for the list of schools and check out the websites you are interested in. Hope this helps.
