Hi everybody,

Im new to this site and could really use some advice. Im starting LSU traditional BSN program. Was wondering if anyone has any advice about what to expect and what I should do to prepare. Also if anyone is actually a student at LSU that would help or if they are starting in the Fall as well.

Hey guys! I am currently at delgado takin my pre-reqs for nursing school. I'm going to apply to both charity and lsu. Problem is the pre-reqs! I have to take anatomy 1 and 2 for charity but lsu won't accept them. Should I just plow through them anyway with the hopes it will give me an edge at lsu? I still have 2 semesters looming before I can apply to either so technically I won't be losing any time by taking the course at Delgado. Any thoughts?

the compliance training needs to be done before you go to orientation so registration blocks aren't placed on you. They are super easy, take less than 3 minutes and can be done without looking at the text material that is sent with it. Just get them over with and get used to em' because they will continue to be sent to you throughout your stay at LSU.

Has anyone turned in their health forms to the health office? I've been in lazy mode ever since summer has started. I work in a Dr's office and I know I could have been gotten my shots/tb test, BUT like I said, I've been lazy. hehe I am reading the instruction sheet and it says to turn it in 3 weeks PRIOR to registration. My date is on July 14, so that means I should be turning it in sometime next week! I feel so procrasinated because all this time I thought we had until July 15th but that is the deadline so that means on my advising date I won't be able to enroll in classes. I am doing it ASAP! Also, I did my compliance training a few weeks ago. It is really easy. Just skim through it all.

do you mean Spring of 2012? If so, im hoping to be accepted for spring of '12! i just took my HESI 2 weekends ago, got an 83.7%. i hope thats high enough! my cumulative GPA isn't very high, and my pre-req GPA, the one that the advisor said they only take into account, is only decent compared to what i've seen people post on here!

Haha yesss I meant Spring 2012! Like i said, I'm already starting to freak out about it! I took my HESI once already without studying or reviewing for it, just to see what I could get and I got a 72%. That's obviously not good enough to get it, I just wanted to see what I was capable of. Definitely need to review before I take it again in July. My GPA isn't outstanding either but I've still got hope!
