Hi everybody,
Im new to this site and could really use some advice. Im starting LSU traditional BSN program. Was wondering if anyone has any advice about what to expect and what I should do to prepare. Also if anyone is actually a student at LSU that would help or if they are starting in the Fall as well.
I never got a confirmation from them when I sent mine back 2 years ago; however, I did send it back with a tracking number and delivery confirmation to cover my butt. I received information with my school email and confirmation of orientation about 3 weeks after I had mailed it. I'm not sure who you'd call, but maybe find someone to call?
Once again, communication is something they're not good at at all!
I got accepted into CARE and my advising is also the 23rd of June(which is my birthday) I personally brought my acceptance form and $50.00 to the school and I haven't gotten anything as of yet about my ID and Pin..hope everything is all right.
Congrats to all who got in!!!! See you all in June
I don't know about what textbooks we need, but I'm sure we'll find out all that in orientation in july! I'll be there, too! You may be one of those people who wants to get ahead by reading the books...but I've been told time and time again..ENJOY YOUR SUMMER! Lol. As far as LSU renting books, I have no clue, but the past 3 years I have been renting my ridiculously expensive biology books from chegg.com. Check it out. See you in July!
LSU does not rent books and the bookstore is terribly overpriced. I'd suggest buying books used online (the bookstore doesn't sell used either) as soon as you find out which ones you need. The unfortunate thing is you might not know what books you need until your first day of class and I wholeheartedly assure you they'll have no clue at your advising. Just be aware that there could be some classes where you really won't need the book so don't jump into buying every last book you hear about (the anatomy text is one I know for sure you won't need). Hopefully others who started last January will have better advice. I don't want to give you specifics on books because I know they've changed up a bit since I started.

RDLSU - oh my gosh I'm so sorry! I hope you carry over your application for next semester!! Or at least get in somewhere else. Whatever you do though, keep your head up and stay strong!
