Hi everybody,
Im new to this site and could really use some advice. Im starting LSU traditional BSN program. Was wondering if anyone has any advice about what to expect and what I should do to prepare. Also if anyone is actually a student at LSU that would help or if they are starting in the Fall as well.
Allie, if for some reason u don't get in, try for an ASN unless you want to advance after graduation to advanced nursing. The only reason I'm getting another bachelor's degree is bc I'm interested in nurse anesthesia. There's Charity, BRCC, and Baton Rouge General. There's Southeastern, ULL, William Carey, Our Lady of the Holy Cross, and this coming up spring Our Lady of the Lake will be doing away w/ the ASN and just doing the BSN (somebody correct me if I am wrong about the spring, it maybe fall). Girl, if your overall GPA is 3.8, maybe yÓu should get a BS in pre med like I did and try for medical school! I don't know if you're interested in that, but if you could keep up the high GPA, it'd be worth a try.
For the people asking about knowing if they received your acceptance fee, I got an email today giving me my student id and pin. So, I'm assuming that this means they got my check and all went well. To everyone else who is waiting on letters, stay strong and have faith! You can always carry your application over a semester (if you haven't done so already) and there are other nursing schools in Louisiana!!!

Aww man I hope y'all get in, especially if its ur second time applying... Maybe they sent the letter to the wrong address? If not you may want to consider other programs, its just that you don't need to be wasting any more time not being in school. At the end of the day everyone has the same qualifications no matter the school.
By the way I just sent off my admission fees yesterday so it should get there by Friday but if your stressing you have 10 business days, those people are so lazy i doubt they work on weekends
