LSU BSN Fall 2014 Semester

Published

Hey everyone! I was a spring 2014 applicant, I received an alternate letter so I am crossing my fingers I have better luck this semester! I know everyone probably feels like a huge weight is lifted off their shoulders as today was the application deadline. But now the nervousness is kicking in! I created this thread because I figured we all need the moral support - or at least I know I do lol! I hope I can be of help to anyone who may have questions as far as interviews and the time frame of this process! Good Luck to all of you!! ;):)

No, I just know we have to get a drug test, get fingerprinted, background check etc. I read it somewhere and someone in this thread mentioned it. If you go to the new student tab on the school of nursing website for fall 2014 they have a whole bunch of info and paper work that needs to be sent in. I'm just wondering if the school administers the drug test, if we have to get it done when we get fingerprinted (application on the LSBN website), or if we're supposed to go to a doctor and have them do it.

It's not due anytime soon. I'm just trying to understand. There's a lot to get done.

Yes, you will get all of your information at New Student Orientation in August. The drug test is something you can get done on your own towards the end of your first semester. Background check, I would recommend getting that done before school starts. I used certifiedbackground.com. The fingerprinting was provided for us by the school during our first semester. All we had to do was come to school, wait in line, and give someone a check and our license, and then you got fingerprinted! And then for the LSBN application, you will actually get to do that during new student orientation; they will literally walk you through the entire application. Just bring a check during orientation! And they will tell you how much to bring (pretty sure it was around $62).

Hope this helps!

Anyone else received the housing email? I'm planning to live in Stanislaus Hall. There's plenty of availability there.

I did get mine on the 7th. I hear there is another batch going out though

I felt like I would have received my letter this past week based off of someone's comment saying that someone in the office said there were plenty more letters to go out. However, Spring Break came and went and STILL NO LETTER! Anyone else still waiting like me? This is becoming painful!

I have only noted about 8 of us on here with acceptance letters and 1 or 2 wait listed. It seems that there are a lot who are waiting or not many who know of AN. BTW if you have announced that you received an acceptance letter I have sent a PM to you to try to organize getting together as a class. Check your AN mailboxes.

Yup.. still waiting..

I live in New Orleans east..

Im really over this wait. :(

I'm in Baton Rouge and still waiting as well! It's terrible :(

Just got off the phone with someone and they told me "there are more letters that need to go out but I can't give you any time frame of when that will be". Ugh!
