LSU BSN Fall 2014 Semester

Hey everyone! I was a spring 2014 applicant, I received an alternate letter so I am crossing my fingers I have better luck this semester! I know everyone probably feels like a huge weight is lifted off their shoulders as today was the application deadline. But now the nervousness is kicking in! I created this thread because I figured we all need the moral support - or at least I know I do lol! I hope I can be of help to anyone who may have questions as far as interviews and the time frame of this process! Good Luck to all of you!! ;):)

Congrats to all who got in!! I got a letter yesterday, and I once again have been placed on the alternate list. I am hoping for the best still! :) Good luck to those of you still waiting!

im definitely hoping for the best too! Do you know if they will tell you where you stand on the waiting list? Position wise?

Well, I just sent an email to ask. I will definitely post as soon as I hear something! I did call yesterday and was told we would have to wait another three weeks to be told either way..

I'm so sorry, did they tell you why last time? Keep your head up and don't give up!! Im 24 lol and feel like an old lady applying!

Thanks! I am definitely just staying positive and going to keep my plucking at it! At the information session I was told I should be in good shape since I was wait listed last time.

Hey does anyone know how the alternate list works?? like is there any way to find out where we are on the list or about how long it takes to find out if you do get accepted ???

Asked today, there is no way to find out where you stand on the list and they have accepted students from that list all the way up to the first day of classes.

ugh I wish I knew, I emailed them last night… My brothers girlfriend got her acceptance letter last year in the second batch on April 11 , I know that doesn't help, but it should be coming

My cousin also received her acceptance letter last year on April 11th. Several people she knew received theirs before she got hers so I am guessing it was in the second batch of letters. She didn't interview until March 16th, so it seems as if everything is a little bit earlier this year, as I interviewed on March 8th. I am still waiting as well but trying to keep myself sane! I saw someone post that you have to confirm your acceptance into the program by April 18th...so the rest of the letters must be coming soon! Hopefully!!

Haha! I just realized that my whole comment about "everything happening a little bit earlier this year" doesn't make complete sense considering tomorrow IS April 11th and many of us are still waiting for our letters. I didn't even notice. Oh well! The wait continues...

I called today and the lady said they still have a bunch to send out, which made me feel a little better , she also said it was a mixed batch again…so both acceptance and denial, they're just running behind… I also asked if she could just tell me because i have bad anxiety her answer was not over the phone haha but it was worth a shot
