LSC Montgomery Transition 2012

U.S.A. Texas

Published

Hey y'all! I've applied to LSC Montgomery for the Transition Program that begins June 2012. I was just wanting to see how many others have done the same and just connect with my (hopefully) soon to be classmates! When I turned in my app a few weeks ago they told me not many ppl have applied yet, but the majority wait until the last few days to do so. The deadline is March 9th, so according to the schools website, we should find out by the end of March if we were accepted or not. I HAD to ask when I turned in my app if my score was okay or should I give up hopes of going to Montgomery. I had 11.22...(can't remember the last 3 numbers) but the receptionist said that was pretty good and that last year that particular score was number 8 out of 30. If you don't mind to divulge, what did you get out of your 12 points? I'm just interested and scared and excited. Let me know if you guys have any inside info that I'm missing. Hope to hear from someone soon and meet you this summer!!!

anyone else get their books yet? I have gotten in touch with a transition student from last year who is selling me all her books, and i got the book list from the book store in montgomery, so i know exactly what i am needing to purchase. I have heard that while the medical encyclopedia is required, many students have not purchased it and it wasn't needed any ways. I have another transition student (that's about to graduate) phone number, so if any one else would like to purchase a set of used books, I can get you in contact with that student as well. if any one cares, i will take a picture of the book list (this was in form of a memo from the nursing dept to the book store- so it's legit) if anyone cares. Cheers to us! looking forward to meeting y'all. And if anyone is really into study groups, I'd love to get togther. I have spent a good amount of time talking to other transition students and have learned a few topics that they will hammer us on in the first six weeks. One of the topics is knowing our lab values, and then knowing the relationship between those. I have already begun learning a bit- there is a great book (that i can't seem to remember the name of at the moment!) that shows little pictures and makes up little silly stories about how the lab values interact that will make it much easier to remember them. (however, i'm not going to walk out to my car to find it, go to the trouble of posting it here, if nobody is paying attention to this posting!) :clown:

I'm interested in buying used books!! I'm paying for school out of pocket, so I need all the help I can get! Also, do you know if the summer transition is both summer sessions or if it's just the 6 weeks? Here's my personal email if you want to have that student that has books available email me! OMG!!! I wish I would have seen all this before hand!!! I would have applied already! I was in an RN program but got out of it in March and I been looking to do straight BSN now. But if I would have known I could start another ADN program this fall already I would have applied. Ugh! Well you guys let me know how it goes and I will be applying for the spring. Gosh I want to cry I could have been there with you all haha. Good Luck in your classes!

Hi there! I know that this was posted a while back but hopefully you'll read this! Did you go to the lvn program through memorial herrman? I am going to apply this december so I was wondering if you had any heads up or what the application is like? The website is sort of vague

Thank you!
