Hey y'all! I've applied to LSC Montgomery for the Transition Program that begins June 2012. I was just wanting to see how many others have done the same and just connect with my (hopefully) soon to be classmates! When I turned in my app a few weeks ago they told me not many ppl have applied yet, but the majority wait until the last few days to do so. The deadline is March 9th, so according to the schools website, we should find out by the end of March if we were accepted or not. I HAD to ask when I turned in my app if my score was okay or should I give up hopes of going to Montgomery. I had 11.22...(can't remember the last 3 numbers) but the receptionist said that was pretty good and that last year that particular score was number 8 out of 30. If you don't mind to divulge, what did you get out of your 12 points? I'm just interested and scared and excited. Let me know if you guys have any inside info that I'm missing. Hope to hear from someone soon and meet you this summer!!!

Hi Y'all, just now discovered this thread. Im also an applicant to this program waiting anxiously as y'all. I applied to Montgomrry as first choice and then Tomball as my second. I also did apply to the Kingwood program thereafter, but really Im just hoping to get into the Montgomery one coz it starts sooner. I had a 10.57. As far as the transition course, yeah Ive heard its really hard and starts in june for 6weeks. Its mainly a refresher course for knowledge we acquired from LVN school. Other than that I heard that if you do good in the 6 week transition course and pass it....the rest should be a piece of cake. I went to KIngwood for my LVN program and just graduated this past Fall, I loved it there but Im just not patient enough to wait till August to transition. So lets all just cross our fingers and hope we all get in like last year!! Good luck everyone :-)
so- have we gotten any winner winner chicken dinners? ha. i know it's too early. just lurking on here about other posts and what not. Anyone in here wanting to go into the military after becoming a nurse? that's what I want to do. I am hoping to be able to go directly from getting my ADN to bsn and then join a branch of the military. I sure would love to hear about what anyone else is doing! there are so many paths you can take with nursing- i love it!
Hey there transition students!!I applied to the ADN basic track and I received my blue card in the mail today from the BON and I am waiting on an acceptance letter.
CONGRATS to everyone who received their acceptance letters!!!
It's always a relief to know that one more thing that could get in your way is done. Since I'm coming from Washington State I had to do my fingerprints on a paper card here at the police department and mail it in. The BON assured me it would work but I was very concerned until I received my blue card last week. It was definitely a good feeling! Good luck on your application!

Did you receive a notification letter?
And lookie here I got accepted too!! How wonderful. Is that everyone on here that applied?!! And to think my sorry score made it. I'm guessing everyone that applied got in. Well shoot I can't be happier. Now, I know you're not thinking about your bsn yet-BUT, check out u of h-Victoria, they have a new program that lets you complete it in a year!!! There are fliers over at the university center and a counsellor to talk to and see how you will fit with whatever you've taken. I've been sorta wondering about what to do after RN, and that seemed like a good choice after reading about so many of them.

I know how you feel, but I hate to tell you that we called Mont yesterday to ask where they are in the process. Apparently our applications are still at the systems office being reviewed and they are hoping to be done with them by the end of NEXT FREAKIN WEEK! I cannot believe its taking this long!!! I just try to tell myself good things come to those who wait, even though we don't really have another choice!
