LSBN LOUISIANA STATE BOARD OF NURSING clinical approval

U.S.A. Louisiana

Published

I recently got accepted into clinical at Nsula, but I'm just waiting on the board to approve me. I don't have a record. My question is how long does the board normally take to approve students to enroll in clinical courses? School starts in 2 weeks and still nothing has been posted to the lsbn website.

Please tell me what your gpa was and which program you were accepted into ! I'm just nervous about getting in!

Which program did you apply to? I haven't calculated my gpa but it should be between a 3.2-3.5 bsn program

Mine is a solid 3.0 but it should increase by the time I apply which is May 2016, also what is your teas score

Did you ever get the answer of how long it takes the board to approve students to enroll?

Any advice on NSULA clinicals? I'm just applied for the fall 2016 1st level clinicals. When did you receive your letters ?

check the site in August. I checked it on the 12th and was approved then.

I recieved my acceptance letter in late July. You'll love clinical it's fun and gets better as you advance in levels. Just study! Understand how to answer nclex style questions. Nursing logic on ati will help you with that. There should be a website that comes with your text book I would log on to there and answer those questions to see how well my studying has gone. The lab is there for practice so use it, get a partner and work together.

The lab is open 24/7 right ? I believe I read that in the student handbook. I applied for the Alex campus I hope I get accepted

Shreveport lab isn't 24/7 I'm not sure about Alexandria, but good luck! I'm sure you'll get in :)

I don't remember exactly how long it was, they go over your packet, talk about rules, dress code congratulate you, discuss immunizations, cpr certification, classes, clinical, sna, who to come to for what problem etc. I'd bring paper and something to write with if you'd like to take notes.
