Hello everyone,

I need some advise, I have been an LPN in Canada for aprox 5 yrs. I just recently got my RN licence in michigan. I worked at a longterm facility and worked my butt off as a floor nurse. I DO NOT WANT TO BE A FLOOR NURSE ANYMORE!!!!!!! AND I HATE HOSPITALS. Does anyone have any job suggestions or advise?

Specializes in Med/Surg.

How do you feel about a physician's office? I personally loved Occupational health. Many places need an rn to do physical exams ect. just look on careerbuilder.

Specializes in Med-Surg, gynecology.

Home health may also be a good fit for you. Good luck and congrats on earning your RN license!

First of all, congrats on getting your RN, this will open up more opportunities in the nursing field for you. You should find out if the hospital that you worked for has a home health dept. that you could work for. Maybe getting out of the hospital where you are responsible for many more patients, and just caring for one at a time will work out better for you......Best wishes in whatever you decide to do. :)
