Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hello everyone!!! I’ll be starting school in May , and I wanted to know is there anything I should be doing now to prepare? Any tips or suggestions? Good luck to everyone!!

I started on December 11th and the best advice someone gave me was to do absolutely nothing because it’ll be one hell of a ride once you get started! Best of luck ❤️❤️

I start in April... I'm just here for the tips & suggestions...

I am so excited! Good Luck to you as well!!

❤️

?I start on March 25th (I hope. they keep moving it forward. I am nervous, but I have to remember that I have two bachelor's degrees already, and nursing has been a calling for a very long time and I know my God has opened the doors to make this happen. I am also53, so I will probably be the oldest. But, I have found that the older I get, the more secure of myself I become. It's really true that you don't know anything (about yourself) until you're 40. Then you just keep learning. I think I relieved some of my nerves by writing this, but I am still nervous.

I will be starting LPN school this May 1st. I got accepted to Tcat Ripley TN. Is there anyone that is graduating or have went and have books that they want to sell like ASAP. Thanks

Congratulations!!! I’m so excited as well. We got our official start date , which is May 28th and packets on Friday !! GOOD LUCK!!!

Congratulations to everyone that has started or will be starting classes soon. I plan to start in July or September this year.

Congratulations, I took the nursing exam for LPN this month and hope I get into my program fall 2019. I have a low HESI score and a high GPA. A friend who got accepted had a low GPA and High HESI score. Gives me hope.

Hi All;

I am in Washington state. I am attending Bates Technical College in Tacoma. Currently on my last quarter of prerequisites. I have been accepted to start PN program this September. Very exited to final get started on practicals. After obtaining my LPN I plan on an attending LPN to RN bridge and then obtaining BSN online while working.

What has upset me is few people has said that LPNs are not considered a “real" nurse. Frustrating for me to hear that since my title will be Licensed Practical Nurse and my dedication will be the same as a Registered Nurse but at a different level.

I will be proud to have obtained my LPN regardless of what some of the public’s view.

I hope we all feel the same way!

I am beginning my LPN studies and have been hearing the same. Hospitals aren't hiring LPNs any longer, and now RNs don't count for much until a nurse gets a BSN.

However, many private offices and specialist's agencies are hiring LPNs. In my state (NY), counties and the state itself hirings LPNs. They have RNs that supervisor (pretty much sign off) on paperwork.

There still is hope for us; the landscape is just changing a bit.

Oh yeah, we are REAL nurses!

PS: I don't know how BSN RN credentials got added to my last name. As you can see I haven't achieved those statuses yet.
