LPN Schools In Detroit

Hi SIRENA!

Question: when you received the acceptance letter, was it through email or regular mail? Then did you receive the acceptance packet at the same time or after???

I just applied into their LPN program, hopefully I will get in for next year! I think this school gives us such great opportunity, instead of waiting to get in the RN program or going all the way to OH daily! It is so hard to get in the RN program now! I just want to start doing nurse jobs already! Im so excited to become a nurse! I have been wanting to be a nurse in sooooo long.

How are the prereqs? I have to take 3 of them in sept., well thats if I get in the program!

Well ladies,

I just finished my meeting and I am getting bumped up to the Sept 2011 cohort! After I finish my pre-req's I have to give them to her and I can start if I meet the requirements (which I will) :yeah:

That's great that you start the program in sept.2011!! Were you in the Jan2012 cohort before? How did you get bumped up? How long did it take for you to get the acceptance letter? was is through email or mail? Did you get the acceptance package already?

Sorry so many questions. I just handed in my application beginning of this month! They just received it last week...

To get bumped up you have to have all the funds. I didnt receive my acceptance I e-mailed them telling them I was in the pre req's so really I am not OFFICIALLY in until they see my grades are c's or better (which ofcourse they will be :)!!!! But you should receive your acceptance letter in the mail in 30 days :)

To get bumped up you have to have all the funds. I didnt receive my acceptance I e-mailed them telling them I was in the pre req's so really I am not OFFICIALLY in until they see my grades are c's or better (which ofcourse they will be :)!!!! But you should receive your acceptance letter in the mail in 30 days :)

Ok Ivey, yeh hopefully I will. I was always on the dean's list at Baker College, but they dont accept too many people & a lot get turned down. One of my friends actually applied elsewhere & not Baker, she got right in the ADN program... I wish I would have known about it, instead of anticipating on myself to apply at Baker. Even if a person had a 4.0, etc. they still had this point system. So people that had 3.5 may get in before a 4.0 person... Gladly, my sis in law told me about this school, & I hope I do get in for next year's program(jan., but if sept thats cool too). I am READY as can be! Bring me the challenge, I'm there... Well, update me on those classes you are taking right now. I will be taking them in Sept. =)

Hey Ivey how is class going? I had to drop it because I THOUGHT I would be relocating, but that didnt fall through, so I will be re-registering for the class in September. How are you making out so far? How is the Anatomy class there?

Hello,

I just read through you all's post I am new to the rn/lpn world and looking to go all the way. I am currently enrolled at Davenport, but not sure if i am going to stay. I am taking my pre-reqs for there LPN program now, but I am not sure if i will get in for fall 2012 b/c of my science, do you have to have them all before you apply to Oakland or can you apply and still be taking pre-reqs? Also, as far as for paying do they take financial aid or is out of pocket only? Any other feedback about the program would be great as well!

Hello!!!! Class is very STRESSFUL but I am doing well! Whenever I have a problem i make sure I get the help that I need! The A and P is HORRIBLE!!!! the book is G R E A T but the teacher is TERRIBLE! They will be hiring a new teacher so Id say go for it!
