Hello to everyone! Please help me. Im a 2nd courser taking up a 1-year LPN course in 1 of the 2 new LPN schools here in Shaw blvd, Mandaluyong City, Philippines. I will be graduating in October this year. The 1st batch graduated just recently. They are now having the dilemna of finding a NCLEX-PN Review Center. 1 Review Center told them to join the NCLEX-RN Review instead. Please help us find a review center specifically for PNs.

i can't recommend any NCLEX- PN review center in manila since i'm here in U.S, i am going to finish LPN program here in NY next month and my professor recommend us getting the KAPLAN ONLINE REVIEW it's on $79 and they will provide you tons of NCLEX-PN Questions and acces to their online 24 hrs a day.

also i bought the NCLEX PN Reviewer LIPPINCOT 5th ed. and MOSBY feb. 2006 edition. they have the new format for the NCLEX-PN.

right now me and my other classmates set a review day. hope we'll be able to pass in two months.

hope i helped you somehow.

goodluck!

Specializes in hopefully a nursing job in rehab.

as a filipino, you can expect to be petitioned to work as a nurse in the united states ONLY with a bsn degree and a registered nurse license (NCLEX passer). pn/lpn and cna programs may have proliferated in the phils. but todate, NO clear-cut laws are in place to make way for you to migrate to the u.s. armed only with a 2-year phil. pn or cna certificate/diploma. if you want to go to the u.s., it's not as impt. knowing if the pn in the phils. is similar to the u.s. as knowing if it will allow you a way to migrate the u.s.. right now, the answer is NO

i agree 100% with the poster above.

us immigration requires the bsn and rn after your name to be able to get a green card in the us.

sure, you may be able to write an exam, but you will not be able to work in the us with it................they leave that out of their advertising at these new schools.

i agree on that one too. i never meet anyone with lpn or cna certificate from the philippines. i was a cna for ten years here in the u.s. but i did my training for 6 months at a local community college, and took an exam at a local american red cross to get certified. i don't know how they trained cna's in the philippines, but my training was hard, and we have to passed a lot competencies in order to graduate. i have never meet any working

cna's who got their training from the pi.

hi! u're from KIS..Im weng from the batch 1 u were refering to.. i know a new PN \review school in makati. how is ur review going abt? hope to hear from u soon! and good luck with ur nclex exam.

these schools have opened there and are making promises that they are unable to keep. the nurse, even if passing on the nclex-pn exam cannot get a visa to work in the us. and the lpn is not accpeted in the philippines for work.

there are no legal avenues for them to pursue, only illegal if they want to be a slave and come over as unskilled labor, but then they would never be able to work as an lpn.

please take the time to do things the legal way. if you wish to work in the us as a nurse, you must do it the only way that is legally available to you, and get the bsn.

there are no legal quick fixes. only illegal ones and they can cost you dearly.
