Hello everyone,
I was wondering, does manhattan/brooklyn adult learning center accepts transfer credits from a Cuny school? The thing is that I am a pre-nursing student at Laguardia Cc and I'm done with all the pre-reqs required but I didn't get into the nursing clinicals, so I am thinking of moving to MALC for the LPN program. But I'm not sure if they accept transfer credits so that I can finish the lpn in less than 10 months as proposed by the learning center? Any response or ideas will be highly appreciated. Thank you :)
i am starting the new program "The center of allied health and nursing education". You can try to go there =)Its easier to get in . cost 22 000 for 11 months and its in NJ . kinda far. well im not sure where u live . Best of luck.
Hi, thanks for the infor.
I just called them few weeks back and this lady forwarded me all the paperwork I had to fill up.
But I didnt send in my application yet, becoz I live in NY and I dont drive.
Two huge reasons not to apply there.
But I talked with Lincoln tech in CT last time, and their fee is 31,000.. more expensive then any RN/BSN school.
So you are already in the program?
Do they give any TEAS entrance test?>?
Good Luck
Associates Degree in Nursing. There are ALOT of schools in NY such as CUNY, SUNY and Private Schools that offers ADN and/or ASN. For an LPN, you should pay no more then $2K-$5K (IMO). If that's the case I would do PCT which is more cost affective, but if your financially stable and able to afford it, I would say go for it.
I tried getting in CUNY school, but it's really competitive; plus they requires 3.7 or 8 GPA to be considered in the RN program.Do you know any private nursing school beside Beth Isreal and Long island college hospital? Coz I tried there already.
You can try to look into: Helene Fuld College of Nursing, Nassau Community College, Saint Vincent Catholic Medical Center School of Nursing-Brooklyn and Queens, St. John’s Riverside Hospital, Westchester Community College and the Cuny programs. You also have to remember that the Nursing programs are meant to be competitive. Hope these help.
