  1. The last scheduled date for the teas on May 9 is only for the Fall 2014 right? I'm doing the evening classes on January I believe they have a new set of Teas exam scheduled later on for that, right?since the application deadline for evening schedule is on September.. @_@ jeez.. I hope I'm right..
  2. Ow. I just saw your post.. I have an interview today! how was your interview with the president? did everything went well? what question did he/she asked you?? Omg.. I can't breatheeee! lol pls pls pls if you can tell me something about, it will probably calm me down a bit.
  3. I have an interview at St. Paul later today! OMG! I am sooooo nervvvvooouuusss... anyone here who already had an interview with them??! How was it? What questions do they ask? really, I can't stop thinking about it. Any response from you guys will be greatly appreciated!
  4. @NYCGuy86... really? 'coz I'm planning to go April 10 too at 6pm so I have a feel on how it is to do the evening schedule, but I don't know coz I'm thinking about the transportation too, I live in queens I know its gonna be tough traveling at night (scared) lol..
  5. You're welcome.! Goodluck! :)
  6. I'm a nursing student at Laguardia Comm college and finished all my pre-reqs. I've been trying to apply for the nursing candidacy in my school but I still can't get in the program, my GPA is 3.5. I realized I can't get anywhere if I only focus on one school so I decided to apply at private schools and Montefiore is one of my top choice. The Teas is based on your level of proficiency.. Level 1 developmental (41.3% and less), Level 2 basic (greater than 41.2% but less than 58.7%), Level 3 Proficient (Greater than 58.6% but less than 78%), Level 4 Advanced (greater than 77.9% but less than 90.7%), Level 5 exemplary (90.6% and above).. I was not given a specific passing score when I called them, but I was told that we should be on Level 3 and above to be considered.. I believe I was responding to your comments at the other forum, Goodluck on your test!
  7. Hi, glad to hear that you got an invite for the Teas. I applied for the day program starting September 2014 but unfortunately, I changed it to the Evening program since I have a full time job. I'm praying that they'll call me sometime in September after the evening program deadline. When are you taking the TEas?
  8. Really worried about the Teas. I'm supposed to take the Teas on April 11 for Laguardia Comm. college nursing but now I'm thinking twice on taking it or not since Montefiore has the same test. I called Montefiore and they told me I can carry over my score to the school but I need to make sure that I pass, if I fail I won't be eligible to enroll this coming fall. Unless I wait for them to contact me by September or after (evening classes) and schedule me for the Teas, that is if I'm eligible and pass all the requirements to be considered.
  9. Thank you so much for your response. I already mailed my application last month for the day classes, but I recently changed it to evening classes 'coz I think it will be more convenient for me since I am working full time. I checked the school's curriculum and I noticed that I already have most of the pre-reqs except for nutrition. I really hope they will credit some of them just to lessen the workload. I know they're looking at the course description and I'm not sure if the school's course description is the same as mines hmm I need to check.
  10. Hi, I want to know if there's any of you here who is currently a student or has been a student of Montefiore school of nursing (used to be Dorothea Hopfer school of nursing) in Mt. Vernon?? Can you tell me about the school's nursing program or maybe your personal experience in the program? And I live in queens, is the traveling going to be an issue 'coz I'm just taking the subway/metro north to get there.. do u happen to know if there are students from queens that goes to this school? Any response will be highly appreciated. Thank you.
  11. Hi, where in Queens do you live? I'm submitting applications to 5 different schools including Dorothea Hopfer (now Montefiore school of nursing), I'm really eyeing to get into Montefiore, but I'm thinking twice about the traveling if ever I'll get into the program since I live in Queens. Do you drive? or do you take any kind of transportation to get to the school? any response will be highly appreciated. Thank you.
  12. I checked the prometrics website and I coudn't find laguardia cc on the list?! I looked at it like 5 times but there really is no laguardia cc on the list.. what does that mean?? Does it mean no one took the CNA certificate exam?
  13. Thank you all for your insights.. one more thing though,I checked the prometrics website and I coudn't find laguardia cc on the list?! I looked at it like 5 times but there really is no laguardia cc on the list.. what does that mean?? Does it mean no one took the CNA certificate exam?
  14. Hi, I was looking to see if anyone can help me. I am trying to search online about the CNA program at La Guardia COmmunity COllege, does anyone know if the CNA at this school is good or has a good reputation? How about the passing rate for the certification? Maybe some of you attended their CNA program, I would appreciate any response. Thanks so much..
  15. Hello, does anyone happens to know what school gives good CNA or PCT training? I'm looking at Manhattan institute, New york medical career training (flushing), access careers (Brooklyn), ABC training (Bronx). I am totally confused as to what school gives the best training for this specific course, because each institution has their own pros and cons based on the reviews I've read on the web. Maybe anyone here had been to some of these schools or are currently studying in one of these institution, please give me an insight. Any advice will be highly appreciated. Thank you so much :) P.S: One more thing, which route is best to take first, the CNA route or the PCT route?
