I had all these books you were looking for and just sold them on half.com so sorry. You might want to check out that website alot of those books are listed there for dirt cheap.

Go to Textbooks | College Textbooks | New Textbooks | Used Textbooks | College Textbooks | Cheap Textbooks , they'll search websites to see if there are any matches and redirect you to them. Most of the time you can find them for 50% off or less.

Check out Amazon.com. I got all my books there some were for half a price.

I would suggest only getting the Dewitt books to start... you will only be doing one course at a time... You won't need the MedSurg books until you are about 3 months into the program. And the maternity book after that.

You can email me direct [email protected] if you want.

So excited for you to start the program. Just be ready. It is crazy intense. When they told you hours of homework every day and every weekend.. and tests every day, they are NOT kidding. And most important of all do NOT miss a single day!! There are no make-up tests.. so you will get a zero if you miss a test. :-(

Let me know if you want to get together sometime before school starts!!

Well, they said to get the first 5 books for January. That would be awesome if I can have the books. I actually have to pay out of pocket . I live on Osceola Parkway and BVL. I am soo ready to start even though I don't have books, backpack, and other materials needed. lol. In regards to that, at orientation they said to buy a rolling backpack. Is that really necessary? What are you using right now? Thank you for all the information. Good luck to you. We might see each other in January. MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!:nurse:

I have been paying out of pocket for everything too. I started out with a traditional back pack and after about 10 weeks I gave up and got a rolling bag. The books are soooo heavy. I actually got a laptop bag at Walmart for about $30. A couple of people are using small (kid sized) suitcases.

Do you have scrubs yet?? If not, there is a shop near your house that has some pretty cheap.. (I think the name is DeeDee's or something like that). It is in the shopping plaza with Publix on the corner. You can also get them pretty cheap at Walmart on O-Parkway by the Turnpike.

I am sure we are done with the A&P book now. You can have those too, but I see that your list has the 4th edition. We had the 3rd edition.. that is the Human Body in Health book. I don't know how different the newer edition is.

So, Dewit and Herlihy are the first 4 books on the list. We are still using the 5th book (STAT) book.

You won't really need anything the first day. That is an easy day for you. Plus your class will get a couple of little suprises from us!!

I totally understand your eagerness to start school.. I felt the exact same way before I started.

Enjoy your free time while you have it!!!!! lol

Take care,

Val
