Commuter, I am actually a fellow Texan too and live in the Plano area. Is there a difference btwn. financial aide and a student loan? B/c I think I may be able to qualify for full financial coverage such as yourself. Thank YOU!!
"Financial Aid" is a term used to define ALL types of aid, from partial and full grants to student loans and scholarships.
"Student Loans" are a "type" of aid, and are an agreement made by the student and a bank. Unlike a grant or scholarship, these must be paid back (with interest), usually within 10 or more years of graduation.
Grants are fully funded by the Federal Government.
Scholarships are funded by various organizations (alumni, businesses, religious groups, etc.)
Neither grants nor scholarships must be paid back.

Okay, Gottcha but does Financial aide have anything to do with looking at your credit score? If they do I am screwed!!!

You're screwed.
Sorry, but you will need a co-signer. Even the most sympathetic banks (oxymoron?) will require a co-sgner from you. Will your parents co-sign? This is usually the best bet.

Hi all i am from victoria texas but orignally from asia - newbie here in the usa. I was just wondering if anybody knows about victoria college cause i'm planning to take lvn for 12 months there. I did not really call or visit the school to ask some information my husband just give me the school requirements for the lvn program and i thought i can just enroll right away cause i got my accounting degree for 5 years in our country(asia) but i am wrong. Now i am really confused cause in the booklet you need to take the net exam, the hepa vaccination for 6 months??? and the tb skin test so i guess it means i can't enrol this year, frustrating sometimes cause i do really want to go back to school and learn new things. I think my luck is next year but the problem is i don't really know what reading materials should i get for the net exam so that i can be prepare, ya know like books, or maybe some cd's, some sample questions for the net exam. My husband is really busy working and he can't help me with this.. except he is the one paying for the tuition fee and thats another thing we don't know how much it cost us for that 12 month program. Somebody told us maybe 4,000$ for that does anybody knows how much you think it will cost us and also i want to know wer to buy some books, pointers stuffs like that. Appreciate your response guys..

For my school I had to take the prerequisites which were: A&P, Nutrition, Medical Terminology, and College English. They all had to be minimun 2.5 GPA, then I took the NET test which measures your Math, Reading, and Psychosocial skills which you have to pass, and last I applied to the program. There is a 1 semester waiting period until you can start the program. I applied in May and started in January...
Hi..thanks for the information, Goodluck to you and keep me posted!
