I graduated from Concorde Dallas for Medical Assisting. Don't sweat the interview. They do that to get you nervous and make things look more "official". Nothing to it really. It is more or less a speech that he makes and he may ask you a couple of questions since it is the LVN program. I wouldn't worry though.:)

MLANK I also live in Garland! I am finishing up my prerequisites for nursing now and will hopefully attend Brookhaven sometime soon. As of right now I have not even thought about the application process. I guess I figured I would try to beef up my score as much as possible before I decide to apply. I have just finished up taking Psych I, Psych Lifespan, A&P I , and English Comp. I know I probably need to take Chem, Pharm as well as the Drug Calculation course but what else can I take to maximize my score to be accepted? My weakness is Math and had to take a couple of remedial courses since it has been awhile since I have been in school. I figure this will be my lowest score on the HESI so the more courses counting towards my final score the better!! Good luck to you all attending!

BigB what kind of duties do you have in a Psych unit and what makes it so appealing to you? I mean when I think psych unit i think of the movie, " The Cookoos Nest". Something like that with Jack Nicholsen and various other actors. Its not like that is it? Thanks!

Okay please give me your best advice... All 3 of my children have been suffering from diarrhea with (I know its disgusting but hey, were all looking too be or in, the medical field here!:) green, very smelly, runny stools. Up to twice and sometimes 3 times a day. It has lasted almost 2wks now and is JUST starting to look better. Thats it, no fever, no abdominal pain or dehydration. BUT I took my children to the er last Saturday night due to the fact I was AFRAID that it was the Rota Virus. My daughter weighed in at 21lbs. I had no questions about it nor did they address this issue so i didn't think twice. She is only 1yr and 6m. I was told to get some specimen samples and then proceed to give it to their pediatrician. Well luckily she had a wellness checkup this last Mon. At her wellness the nurse weighed her in at 19lbs. Thats 3more lbs than my 6m. old! But now that I look back,it dawned on me that I was holding her arms up to keep her steady on the scale. I FRIEKED. She is suppose to be triple her birth weight by 1. (8lbs 15oz at birth) She has always been small for her age but NEVER this small. Her diagnosis was Diarrhea and ANOREXIA. Well the grandparents came over and we weighed her again and again. 21lbs. Still very low but not as low as she had been weighing. She doesn't look anorexic but she is skinny. Well they tested the specimens and that of her other sister and brother and it came back neg. for the Rota Virus. They are still testing and I won't know the results until Fri. What in the world is going on? What could this be and do you think she was weighed wrong? Since then she had gained 1lb and we have been feeding her everything under the sun to get her weight back up. Cross your fingers everyone. Thank you!

Okay, Gottcha but does Financial aide have anything to do with looking at your credit score? If they do I am screwed!!!

Commuter, I am actually a fellow Texan too and live in the Plano area. Is there a difference btwn. financial aide and a student loan? B/c I think I may be able to qualify for full financial coverage such as yourself. Thank YOU!!

Okay, so tell me how this works.. I have been reading about you hopefuls who have just taken the test and are awaiting your results. What I don't get is the question process. Is it bad to have more questions that little? Why does it cut off at a certain amount? And what the heck is ATT? Thanks! I am trying to prepare myself as much as possible before I jump in head first.
