Please don't be under paid. If you're under paid, change jobs.
DON'T LET THEM UNDER PAY US... CHANGE JOB.
There's a nursing shortage. Use that to your advantage and get the best pay. We work our asses off!!!

Easier said than done when the "market" seems to pay the same wherever you go. I was offered three jobs with ten cents of an hour of each other. I found that by staying loyal and keeping my job and getting raises and "market adjustments" I now make as much as some per diem/agency nurses who have no benefits.
But if one can jump ship and make a significant raise, then it's worth it and it sends a message to the low paying people.

I also wanted to add that from what I've read your health insurance benefits etc. can account for 35% of your salary so in the same respect don't sell yourself short when going agency with what may sound like "big bucks".

I'd rather accept lower pay rates to have my health insurance and other benefits fully paid for by the workplace. But thanks for your reminder. :)
