Hello everyone
I have a very important question about my LPN licensed renewal, I took my NClex exam in January 5, 2009, I received my licensed about 5 days after, my licensed will be expired on July 31, 2009, that's mean I only have my licensed for only six months, by the way I am living in Port St Lucie, FL. I still can't find a job yet, everybody doesn't seems to give a chance to a new graduate. My question is what will happen to my LPN licensed if I don't find a job prior to the expiration date? Do I will need to go back to school and take the NClex again? Will the board will renew my licensed for me if I don't work for the six months period. Please help me, because I am pretty scared.

Once you take NCLEX, you don't need to retake it.
When your license is due for renewal, you simply pay whatever fees are requested by your board of nursing in order to keep it from expiring.
I have licenses in 3 different states. California requires $120 for each renewal, Texas requires $55 for each renewal, and Oklahoma requires $75 to renew. You will simply need to respond to the renewal notice you'll be receiving from Florida in the mail in a few months and mail them the check before your license expires.
Thank you so much!

You simply will be paying your renewal fees in July just like the rest of us regardless of whether you have a job or not. Yes, in florida we can renew our licenses online. When you receive your notice it will give the web address along with a user code and password . It is so much easier than using snail mail.
