LPN Agency Job

Published

Hello Everyone,

I just wanted to know has anyone worked for or know anything about Integrity Home Health Care Agency? I have been accepted to work with them but I am not sure. I recently became an LPN and I have no experience as an LPN yet until I start with the Agency. Is this a good thing or not. Should I be trying to get a job at a hosptial? I have tried some hospitals and they are saying I need experience just like the LPN Graduate nurses are saying. How do you get experience if no one will hire you to get the experience? Thank you in advance for your help with this question Allnurses.

If this home health agency is willing to train and orient you as a new grad without any experience, I'd say go for it. If you sit around and wait for a hospital job, you might be waiting for a very long time, so it is better to be gainfully employed in the meantime.

thank you thecummuter, i start this monday with orientation, it is just part-time on the weekends and maybe some days through the week. i am kind of scared because i have been out of the nursing field for awhile but i have been doing cna work here and there but now i really get to work in the field in which i went to school for, so yep, kind of scary. thank you so much for your information thecummuter, i am going to take this chance.

WOW...good for you. I'm an LPN, geaduated last Aug, passed boards last Oct. &still now job as an LPN. I'm beginning to get frustrated.Everywhere I go..."sorry we're not hiring new grads now!" I've tried homecare agencies as well, some which I myself have worked for as an LPN, but no luck. My wish is to have a homecare agency that can trust me enough to give me a chance-- train/orient me. Our clinical rotation in LPN school was mostly in an acute setting, very little of LTC, and all I'm asking for is for somebody to give me a chance. Have been a CNA for almost 9years in all kinds of settings(LTC, hospitals, rehabs, hospice, private duty, you name it) and I've seen it all, different medical equipements. When homecare agencies post high-tech nurses needed for pediatric home care, I always feel like I can do this with the proper and adequate training and orientation.

Anyway goodluck and hope you gain meaningful experience in your new job.:):):):):)

Thank you darkbeauty, if you are having a hard time finding a LPN job, maybe you can try the agency I went too " Integrity Home Health Care Agency" I had orentation today and it was great. The people are very friendly and the hours are very flexible. They are very professional. I think I am going to like working for this Agency. My first assignment will be only 4 minutes from my home and they send some one out with you to train you on what you need to know about the Client and how to do all the paperwork. They will train you in everything. Hopefully you have an Integrity Home Health Care Agency in your location. Thank you darkbeauty and good luck to you too.

Thanx NurseLil-lea...I'm in PA(around Philly suburbs) and will look for Integrity Home Healthcare Agency around my area. All the best of luck in your new adventure!

has any one worked for ADVISACARE HOME HEALTH AND DO THEY TRAIN AND ORIENTATE YOU BEFORE THEY SEND YOU OUT.

Hi did you accept the position with the agency? If so is it working for you? I'm also a new nurse and trying to find the right path

Can you guys please specify the areas or state in which these agencies are operating so we can send in applications or Resumes. I have 10 years experience as an STNA working in all kinds of nursing aspect.(LTC,private duty, sitter, Home health aide and assisted living.) And can you guys believe that even my job that I have been working for almost ten years even refused to employ me in the name of experience!!!!!!!!

I am frustrated just like the rest of you since getting my licenses in November 2010.
