During the course of my NCLEX studying journey I had an INCREDIBLY difficult time and felt like my improvements were ever so slow and was almost convinced that I wouldn't pass the NCLEX the first time. In nursing school I was never an A student.. In fact I got straight B's all throughout my entire nursing school experience. For some reason I've always had to work harder than most people just to get the same grade or honestly a "passing" grade. While studying for the NCLEX I went through a wave of emotional freak outs and anxiety. It was so unhealthy for my mind and body, lemme tell ya. I only used Kaplan as my study resource and my scores were honestly...terrible. Even with studying for 6 hours a day 6 days a week for 5 weeks!!! After each test I took I would come on here and see if there were other people that got similar scores that passed the NCLEX as well. It eased my mind for a short while only for me to go back into negative spirals of thinking. For which I had to mediate myself out of every single time. With all this being said, I felt compelled to share my scores with you all. Because I had god awful scores and passed the NCLEX the first time!!!! Granted, I took all 265 questions BUT I STILL PASSED AND I AM AN RN!!!!!!!!
Here they be:
Q1: 58.7%
Q2: 56%
Q3: 40%
Q4: 53.3%
Q5: 53.3%
Q6: 51.5%
Q7: 53.2%
Readiness Test: 67.2%
NCLEX Practice Test: 38.3%
Q Bank Average: 57%
As you can see I did not do so hot on really any of the question trainers. The readiness test was the ONLY test that I got over 60% on, with the exception of maybe 2 q banks that were 75 questions. The things that I can say truly helped me with studying were the following: reading ALL of the rationales (literally every single one), spending a significant amount of time on the subjects in my weakest categories (I would read the Kaplan book and watch the content videos over and over again until I fully understood the content), searching YouTube videos if I still felt like I didn't understand the content and needed it explained in a better way (I recommend Michael Linares or EmpowRN), and lastly but MOST IMPORTANTLY surrounding myself with POSITIVE people. I was fortunate to have amazingly supportive and encouraging friends and family members that helped me through all the tears and frustrations that came with studying for this test.
At the end of the day, I feel the most important thing is forcing yourself to truly think through every answer and continue to cultivate your lovely nursing thought processes. To those that think they're doomed with low Kaplan scores or are worried to take all the 265 questions (like I did) I say: Don't stop believing in yourself, you got through nursing school and YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!! Good luck to all. Sending out positive vibes!

Congratulations!!! What an accomplishment :) I am so happy for you. I took my NCLEX today and am feeling stressed about it. It's weird when it shuts off at 75 and you know you either really bombed it or did well.
I'm sure it went well for you!! Hang in there :)
