Low Gpa what are my chances :(

The hesi is worth three times as much as the gpa, so I think there is a reasonable chance you'll be okay. I do not know, though. I don't know how competitive your area is or that particular school. Even if I did, I still wouldn't know how much it would change in another year.

You could ask the school. They often do not want to give a range (because each year is different and they don't want anyone saying they said a certain score was good enough) but if you are diplomatic about it you might get them to tell you what was enough points last year or the last couple of years.

I am about to apply for the nursing program at Tallahassee community college and they do a point system so if I hve a low pre req Gpa of a 3.1 and I do well on the hesi exam do I have a chance of getting into the program? And are there any other programs in Florida that I would have a chance of getting into? :/ I wish I would have tried harder my freshman year

3.1 is a very good GPA!! u should be proud !! and yes, valencia community college in orlando would accept you, they have a very good program , once your finished wit your pre-req's and have taken the TEAS you can apply and are put on the waiting list. its about a year, no matter your TEAS scores or GPA , everyone gets their shot at nursing . I am currently on their waiting list , i get to start summer term 2011 :]

3.1 is a fantastic GPA! be proud of that! I can understand your fears though. I have a 3.6 and just did my TEAS test for the LPN to ASN program at the local college and it is SO competitve that even though the requirements were a 2.5 GPA I was convinced I didn't get in. but I did. I think you will do well!!!!!!!!

Have you checked your school's website? Mine posts the minimum GPA that the last two semesters required to get in. It ranges from 3.25 - 3.56 depending on the semester. But it is a very small school with not very many seats.

Hello, there!

I am trying to get on TCC as well!! Is your GPA 3.1 is that Cummlative or is that your Pre-Req?

Are you applying for Fall of 2010 or Spring 2011? Did you take the HESI yet, how did you do? I am applying for Spring of 2011, and I my GPA is not as high as I would like it to be... so I am hoping to get in too! Let me know how everything goes!!
