Hey Everyone!

I'm originally from louisville but now work as a BSN RN in the bay area. Am a little home sick

and considering moving home. I'm just trying to figure out how much I would be making in

Louisville as compared to here. Can anyone tell me the hourly rate for an RN? Any info about

shift diff for a BSN RN in critical care with two years experience would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I can tell you what I make as an RN with 8 years experience in the Louisville area. I make around 27.00 an hour.

Do not let the difference is hourly wage sway your decision

The cost of living in louisville is a lot lower than the Bay area

That is very true, cost of living is lower. I love living here and would invite anyone to come.

Okay, I don't have any recent knowledge of salary but I do know back in 2006 the starting wage for a new grad was $18.75-19.25/hourly but then again that was 3 years ago with NO experience what-so-ever. I'm very curious to

27.00/hour sounds about right, from what I've heard.

I have 9 years of ICU/CCu experience and I made 69,000 for 2009. BUT...the caveat is that I work nights (10% extra) and every other weekend (35% extra).
