I'm excited, but nervous to start LPN school. I'm attending Louisiana Technical College, June 2010. I got accepted and I start my pre-req computer class and orientation in February. The actual nursing courses start in June. I'm so nervous about the mental math, but I am going to start now to prepare myself and get a head start before June.:paw:
Thanks for the adivce. I actually did flashcards for my Bio Lecture this past semester and I got an "A" on my Final! I was so pleased...my hard work paid off. I have to admit, some of my friends say flashcards are sort of elementary school, but they work! I did that for some of my classes when I was at UNO getting my Business degree and it helped out A LOT!
I printed out some lecture notes on Intro to A&P from the internet and have started making flashcards already. Come January 16th, when classes start at Delgado, I want to hit the ground running.
Thanks for the great advice. Let me know how LPN school is. I hope I get it on my first try.
Hi, Im planning on attending LTC-Cottonport, LA. I have a B.S. degree, but I was unsuccessful on the math portion of the Compass. I was really sad because I missed it by four points. Now I have to take a math course, that I can hardly make it too due to work. I have to pass the course and sit for the math portion of compass in order to start the PN program. I have all the other required pre-reqs such as A&P from my previous college. Please pray for me.
Did they offer to let you take it again?

I will pray for you Terika. I had to retake the Math portion once and and I passed. Yeah, some of the questions on their test I hadn't seen or even thought about since high school. I just searched this site, and got a book from the library to refresh my memory and it actually helped. Just keep the faith.

No, you're not the only flaschcard nut...lol! It's a great study tool. After we are done with school, it will easy for us to go back and refresh for the "Big Test".
