Anyone waiting to apply for Charity School of Nursing to began Spring 2010? :D

Congrats to everyone who got in! You're going to love Charity! Just be prepared to study hard! It will pay off in the end!

Cenote,

Sorry to hear it hasn't gone quite well for you in the nursing field. But, for all of us, it is a dream come true. We decide to pursue this career quite aware of the hard task we have before us. It is a huge responsibility to care for peoples well being. Yes, it does pay well, but most importantly, it is about personal satisfaction. At the end of the day, it must feel pretty good to know that you cared someone to a healthy state today, or helped make it comfortable for someone who is, unfortunately, losing life. I witnessed the care given to my daughter at just 5 weeks of life. Those 4 days had a huge impact on me and changed me forever.

Congrats to those that have made charity class of spring 2010! Hope to follow in your footsteps fall 2011!

Good luck in your journey!

Got my letter! I'm in for Spring 2010!

Krawfish,

Congratulations on getting your acceptance letter! Hope you do well and achieve your goal of becoming a nurse! Good luck

I've been reading this forum since I started my prereqs to go back to school for nursing... never registered just pretty much always got my information for here.... so I thought it was fitting to finally register and say that I got in as well...

so Thanks for all the information and help

and hopefully see yall in Jan.... but i have a question that maybe someone can answer

is anyone still applying to other places even after accepting? It's not that I don't want to go to Charity I'm super excited I got in ... it's just the length of time it takes concerns me... whereas other programs you get out faster..... its not like I want to drop my place so that I can apply to a school that I may or may not get into.. anyone else dealing with this?

Hi everyone and congrats to everyone who made it for Spring 2010!! I have a quick question....I took my TEAS exam last month and was on my way to the post office a few days ago to mail in my Fall application and got a letter from Charity saying that they had received my TEAS score and, if accepted, am being considered for the Spring "pop up" session...meaning I would start in January '10 instead of August '10. Has anyone heard of this? I thought it was a strict 1 year rule in between applying and starting. I just dont want to get my hopes up for nothing. Thanks and congrats again!

There is no 1 year rule between applying and starting. Sometimes that is the soonest you can get in. Every semester they have people who get accepted and choose not to go, freeing up some spots. It is not uncommon for them to call someone and tell them that they can start a semester earlier. I would take the spot. Congrats and welcome to Charity!!!!

Thank you sweetie!!

Hey all! I was also accepted in the Jan. 2010 class! Congrats to you all and I can't wait to meet some of you! I was just curious if anyone knows anything about getting CPR certified..I know we will need to be certified and was wondering if we're supposed to be doing this on our own before we start in January.

You will need to be certified before starting in January. It's good to have the certification cover the entire 2 years you will be at Charity.

Hi did you just receive your exceptance letter i am waiting on mine for spring 2010 for the pull up list they said i am qualified applicant but there were more qualified applicants. Still wondering if getting in ????????

Congrats!!! CSN will send you paperwork regarding all requirements. I'm in first semester now. The process was very organized and clear. Pay attention to dates regarding immunizations, insurance, fingerprinting, etc. Don't be afraid...the whole thing was painless. You will be assigned to an adivsor. That person will go over the whole admittance package with you. If you have any questions, just contact your advisor...she will become your best advocate! Good Luck!!
