I currrently attend a 2yr college which has a nursing program but one has to recieve all A's in the pre req's ,have a GPA of about 3.8-3.9 to even apply for the damn waiting list, so anyhow I received one B now I cant even apply . Im looking for A nursing school. I currently live in the five boroughs but am willing to travel. car or train?? a school with a reasonable or whatever price (i'm desperate) and somewhere, where I don't have to wait 4yrs just to get in the Prog:specs:ram. I am a mother with children with a supportive Husband even if I can go to a sleep away college and come down on the weekends?? does anybody have anything in Mind..
Thanks & God Bless!!!

I live in Cali so I don't know of any schools where you are but just wanted to say to keep your head up and I'm sure that you will find a way and a school that fits you. There were times I felt like you when I wasn't picked in the lottery systems they have here or when I didn't get into the entry level MSN programs I applied to, I too was lost and confused. The other night as I was putting my 6 year old to bed, he said to me: "Mommy, I hope you get into the nursing school." I told him that just because he said that, I know eventually I will get in somewhere. Wherever that is, it's where I'm supposed to be. I'm sure you will find somewhere that will be for you. Keep your head up!

I'm not sure which 2-year school you're referring to, but I would apply anyway. I have heard that same party line at my school (QCC) and witnessed plenty of B students make it into the program. They want to see that you are dedicated, get the higher grades in the science pre-reqs, and have a respectable GPA.
Good luck!

Yes, still try. It's better to try then fail then fail to try. Also try Saint Vincent's Catholic Medical Center School of Nursing in Queens. 718-818-6470
