I'm a BSN student in Fatima University.. nursing is not my ideal course but as time pass by, i'm starting to like it and kinda enjoy it.. but I always hear people saying that
"nursing is a dumb course"
"there are too many nurses already"
"when you graduate, you'll never find a job"
please help me... I need advice
I joined this forum thinking that it'll improve my skills getting advices from real experienced nurses..
will i get a job when i graduate? should i change my course?
help me please...
hi. don't loose hope. it's your career and it's your path you are taking. there will be a lot of hindrance along the way but then if you are meant to care or to serve then nursing is definietly for you. in the country, there are struggles in wages and all sort but not for all. if you really wanted nursing then i don't see any reason why change course.
it even came from you, NURSING is not your ideal course. You cant deny the fact that you had set aside your first preference to join the bandwagon. Seems to me you forced yourself to love nursing, but dint really love it in the first place. Had you really been passionate about this course the whole time, you wouldn't even seek advice whether or not you should still pursue it.
A lot of nurses are unemployed, and a lot has gone to work in call centers after college. A lot have hospital work experience and still find it hard to get a job both here and abroad. There's hiring freeze everywhere.
While its still early you better think twice. I hope you make the right choice.
