Los Medanos RN

Published

Hello! I am started this thread to if there are others who plan on applying to Los Medanos on Spring 2022 ?

You will receive the confirmation of your phase 1 score in email and you would have to respond to the email within a deadline if there are any discrepancies in the points/ GPA calculation. I think there are many applicants still waiting for the confirmation of phase 1 score. As soon as they are done with that they would send notification to the students in merit list to be ready to take the TEAS 7 exam. I presume, that should happen towards the end of May 2022 as far as I understand. I have been trying to reach the Nursing department over the phone for the last couple of days and have not been able to get hold of anyone so far.

Same here! just the confirmation email, applied in the last day

Hi, yes that is the letter I am talking about actually. the RN Applicant Status Letter, the one that is from -----------------------------, which confirms how many points you applied with in phase 1 and tells you that you QUALIFY for phase 1. What day did you receive this letter? If you applied on the very last day and you have already received your RN applicant Status Letter, that means they are close to telling us who is going onto phase 2. Last year applicants did not find out until the end of may I believe. I applied on the very first day of application period and I received my letter on March 5th.

Glad you told us this, I was thinking of calling them myself to see if there was a possible idea of date or time frame we may hear back. End of may sounds about right. Have you tried emailing ------------------------------? She is the one who calculates all the scores in admissions and records. If not I am sure we'll find out end of may and definitely no later than beginning of June.

I have not emailed ------------------------------- but I might have to, to get an idea about it. How is the TEAS studies going? I have been very busy over the last couple of weeks at work and have not really done much.

This is the update that I got over the phone yesterday from someone in the Nursing Department:

- There are about 300 applicants

- They will be taking in 32 people in the cohort

- They will be inviting about 80 people to take the TEAS 7 (out of that top ranked 32 based on the total points from Phase I and II will be admitted and about 20 people will be in the alternate list)

- They will communicate about the Phase II notification and invitation to take the TEAS around Mid- May (tentative)

- The TEAS will be administered in LMC (computer based test)

Awesome thank you for the info. I think the TEAS is usually administered beginning of June or a week after they tell us about phase 2.

Hello

That what confuse me how come they will They will be inviting about 80 people to take the TEAS 7 ?is that 80 are those wo recieved their confirmation letter ?because most peoplethat I know they got that letter ?

or it going be another selectionfor who is going pass the TEAS test regrdless if you recieved your letter

which mean are we expecting another email or all people whogot the RN Letter will recieve an email to pass the TEAS exam ?

As far as I understand, the top 80 people will be selected to move on to phase II based on the Phase I score after all the evaluations are done. Once these 80 people take the TEAS, combined Phase I score plus the score in TEAS will give the total points for a candidate. 32 people will then be invited to join the cohort (the ones with highest points).

Hello, how is everyone? Hoping to hear something after mothers day weekend. Fingers crossed. If not, I know we will hear by the end of May. Although, anytime sooner would help my anxiety LOL. The TEAS comes out June 3rd, so we know have at least another month to study. Anyone live in east Bay Area interested in getting together to study or study over zoom? Antioch/Oakley/Brentwood area? I have both books, Mometrix and the ATI TEAS book. I also purchased the Mometrix flash cards. Im focusing on Math first and for most (this is where I need the most work), Science next, then English and then Language and usage. After calling the nursing department, I was told an 80 is a competitive score to help secure a seat, but honestly there is no telling exactly what is needed until all scores are tallied because it vary's every year. She said she has seen people score in 60's and secure a seat. So, the higher the score the better obviously. She also said, they offered multiple Alternates a seat in the previous year. Anyway good luck to everyone, im counting down the days.

My question is

Does Everyone who got an email of confirmation will be emailed to pass the I TEAS test or it going be another selection?
