hello, i submitted my rn application this year to los medanos college. i was wondering if anyone else has applied and has gotten any email from the college. they said the results will be within one week, but still i wanted to know if anyone has so far received any emails regarding the application.
Hi yo_skp,
Congrats! You're real close by making it on the alternate list.
That's a good question. Looking at the fall schedule for Vocational nursing classes it looks like 32 seats for each class. Open classes at Los Medanos College
However, I wonder do they admit more in anticipation of unexpected life events? Some might've applied to more than one lvn program or changed mind or applied to both lvn & rn or can't clear reqs by due date?
Hope to meet you this fall!
Hello Everyone,
I got offered a spot today off of the waitlist for LMC, I also have a spot in the CCC ADN program as well. I am also on the waitlist for CSUEB. Has anyone heard anything about which is better in regards to the ADN programs? I will definitely pick East Bay when they call me. However, just wondering what others think in regards to LMC vs CCC.
Thanks!
I've got a question for those of you on this thread doing LVN vs. ADN at los medanos. I heard that most hospitals were phasing out the LVN's. Also, how difficult is it to pathway once you have the LVN to the RN program. I've only met one person who graduated from LMC's LVN program but she's still trying to get in via lottery for ADN.
The LVN is three semesters but ADN is only 4? I'm exploring these options too and wondering does it make more sense to simply complete anatomy, physiology and microbiology and apply for ADN in Spring 2017 vs. Starting an LVN program which seems to imply that you can't start ADN for over 2 years.
Any input or feedback would be appreciated.
Also, what's the quality of the instructors at los medanos for LVN? placement rates?
Thanks soo much!
