Hello! I am started this thread to if there are others who plan on applying to Los Medanos. ?

So when I called the nursing department last week, the woman on the phone said we would find out the next step on June 1st. She said possibly a little later, but it will most likely be the 1st. Guess they need more time.

So, I emailed Rikki Hall this morning and she is on vacation till Friday. She won't be back till Monday I guess, so if she is in charge of letting us know about phase 2, then I am guessing we will find out Monday. I hope so anyway. I think a lot of the school staff go on vacation during the Summer semester.

I would think they would want to let us know asap because they have to get TEAS testing done and fill all 32 spots because some people who are conditionally accepted decline their offers because they either can't fit the demanding schedule or they decided to got accepted to another program, etc. Then they begin to go through the alternate list. Then everyone has to get drug testing done, background checks, vaccines, ect. So usually they give plenty of time to let everyone get all that done before the semester starts in August.

Hello, I reached out to Hall today as well and got the same response that she's out til the 5th. Then I called and there's no one answering the phone. Very frustrating just waiting around to hear back. I have a total of 55 points for phase 1. Im hoping to hear back good news, but if not then I'll have to continue applying else where. I heard a rumor that some schools were canceling the fall 2020 nursing program due to the covid 19, but not sure how true that is.

Yes, and American River College and Pasadena City cancelled for this Fall as well.

Thanks everyone who reached out to the nursing department! I’m sure Rikki needs some “me” time after verifying all those applications. Let’s just wait and see next week! Be safe out there ?

Nothing.

Does anyone know if LMC was able to graduate their RN class this Spring? I know SJDC was able to get their students back into clinicals part-time and graduate their students. Just wondering if LMC was able to do the same and if that may or may not have something to do with the delay. Also, may impact whether they are going to have a fall start for this go round.

I can't get a hold of the nursing department either. I did email Rikki Hall asking if there was a possible date of expected reply about phase 2 and she said specifically, "once a decision has been made, the nursing department will update applicants." Not sure exactly what she was referring too, but I hope to hear back soon.
