Specializes in Emergency Department.

Hello! I am started this thread to if there are others who plan on applying to Los Medanos. ?

Specializes in Emergency Department.

deadline is coming up - Feb 7th. I'll be applying with 60/75 points. I took the TEAS VI already. As LMC will only accept the first attempt, my applying TEAS score will be 85.3.

I applied to Los Medanos and also already took the TEAS. I'm only able to apply with around 70 points total though (maybe less, I can't recall). I got an 86 on the TEAS and I think I receive 25 points for that. Any idea on when we're supposed to get any sort of notification?

70 is wonderful! Considering that Phase 1 is out 75 points, you have an excellent chance to move on to Phase 2! ? From what I read from last years' post, people were notified in June I think and had to turn in their TEAS/schedule their TEAS by mid June.

Oh no, I meant like 70 total ?. It's ok though. I knew it was a long shot, but decided to apply anyway. I'm hoping to hear back from the other schools I applied to by end of April. I have more points there and it's lottery based.

Phase 2 will have your 86 TEAS score as 86 points. So if you applied with 70/75 points in Phase 1, then add 86 once offered to Phase 2, you'll have 156/175 points, which is excellent! I applied to Phase 1 with 60/75 points with an 85.3 TEAS. Assuming I get invited to move onto Phase 2, I'll be at 145.3/175 points. From what I read from last years' post, they took a lot of people from the alternate list. I'm thinking because the notifications are later than most programs so people already accepted to those? I don't know haha we all have to wait and see.

Oooh! Man this makes so much more sense. I thought my teas would only be 25 points. Their whole application process threw me off. It's so different from the others. Ok so with phase 1, I'm more like at 40 points which obviously isn't great, but that's ok. Sounds like you have a great chance of being invited to phase 2!

hi have you guys gotten any updates from LMC? I did recieve a email recently about a RN applicant status letter. But that's all.

No updates yet. The Fall 2019 discussion board applicants did not hear back from LMC to move onto Phase 2 until the last week of May. So....we have awhile

I see, well just checking. When I recieved the RN applicant status letter it just said to reply by March 1st if there were any discrepencies and then to refer to my handbook about phase 2. I hope it doesnt really take till May!

Good luck.

I received an email as well. It told me to verify my information, but I have until March 13th to reply (weird). I have nothing to dispute, so now I wait. I'm hoping by those cutoff dates that we find out sooner.

Yikes, I haven't received that one yet. Just the original notification that the app was sent on 2/5/2020. No bueno.
