Yep, alternate #27! I agree, us alternates are very lucky this year!! Whoo hoo! I'm so happy!! Ok, so I would love to keep an open mind about where I wanna head a far as a specialty. I don't think I will be able to stay in one area for too long, I love changing things up every now and then, along with the challeng! That's what's so great about nursing! We wouldn't be confined to one area or another, specialized trainig that's all, but the big work as far as beig an RN will be finished! And no more waiting!! Lol! I'm sure all of us alternates appreciated seeing our numbers posted under the alternate lists, even as a number 27!! I was still very excited! Optimism pays off!!

I am going to be honest with you guys....I have absolutely no idea what speciality I want to go into. I have always thought about OB/GYN but who knows...that may change once we do clinicals. I ordered my books today so they should be here soon.

Just thinking about how close we are to starting is making me feel :uhoh3::uhoh3:

Just keep saying.... DISNEYWORLD...DISNEYWORLD....to help pass that :uhoh3::uhoh3:feeling.. (lol)

Lucky you....Sounds like a fun way to pass the time before the "real fun" begins. Funny, one of the RN students from the 2010 class posted a statement which read, " you're in for a wild ride"..... :lol2::yeah::eek:

I think the clock is way off on this site. It says 4:52PM and it is really only 9:45AM...hmmmm:uhoh3:

if you go to MyAccount, select "edit options" to change the time to pacific standard time :)

Alternate 27?!?! WOW! Optimism definitely did pay off this year, since it appears only 17 or so made it last year. Congrats!

Hello everyone! What kind of stethoscope should I buy and where should I get it? I need a really good one. I remember in physiology, I had the hardest time hearing the "thump.":lol2:

I love the Littman Classic II- great sounds and comfortable ear pieces. They also have the Littman Master Cardiology which has even BETTER sounds but, is more expensive. Check out the online uniform stores as they have great prices. I have gotten several new ones from " allheart.com" it is a uniform store that used to be called something else and has been around for YEARS! If you order online, you can even have either the Bell or the Tubing personlized....nice feature.
