I COMPLETELY understand what your saying! Ditto...:sstrs:

I found the Facebook page!!

I think I am going to go ahead and order the books online as well. I had some e-books and I didn't care for them. I am so used to having the book in my hand. I found it hard to stay focused.

I went yesterday to get a titer and a T-dap.....my arm is so sore! Oh my goodness. I go back to get the results Monday, hopefully, I will not need many more shots. I should be done and ready to turn everything in by Thursday because the following Monday (25th)........WE ARE GOING TO DISNEYWORLD!!!:hpygrp:

Hi everyone,

I have been following the post for a while now. I am a bit nervous about the teas exam I will be taking this Monday! I don't think it will be that difficult, I did do the practice exams 4 and 5 on the ati website. Five seemed to be a bit harder in the science section and I scored a higher overall on version 4.0 with an 85%. I think I will be ok, just a bit if test anxiety...I hope I pass!! I am so excited!!Wish me luck!! :o

You will do fine. If you scored 85 on the practice, you will do fine on the real one. The 4.0version is what they have you do for LMC. It really is not difficult if your prepared. Good Luck to you! Were you an alternate for the 2011 program? :D

Thanks!

Yeah, I am an alternate. And actually currently in the LVN program at LMC and finished my first semester. I am happy to move over to the rn program though..that's my goal.. Its Bitter sweet for sure! Well, let's not speak too soon! I am very optimistic, but I haven't got the final words of "your in" yet! I'll post what happens Monday! Okay, so the mcgrawll study guide for nurses is a good guide right? I bought it and realized they have it in the schools electric library collection! Oh, well! It seems to be helpful! Lets hope!! Lol!

I am sure you will do fine the TEAS. I used the ATI manual and the McGraw study guide. Both were very helpful. Good luck on Monday!!

If you are an alternate who is only taking the TEAS test now, that must mean you were alternate 21 or over, am I correct? We alternates are so lucky this year, it seems!

I spent some time browsing our textbooks in depth today (because that is what all the cool kids do on a Saturday night apparently). The amount of info seems daunting, but exciting. Pharmacology, I think, is gonna be a beast for me!

So, just to get to know you all a little better, what sort of nursing specialty (or specialties) are you all interested in once we graduate in 2013?

One of my ambitions is to become a flight nurse, but I am trying to keep my mind open as much as I can. I am scared of my own shadow, so I think this is my subconscious way of seeking some excitement in my otherwise boring life. LOL!

To summarize for those visual people out there:

My life now ---> :zzzzz

My life if I were to become a flight nurse ---> :anpom:

Specializes in Surgery/ASC/Urgent Care.

ER/Trauma, ICU or NICU..been in a surgery environment for many years. Like the fast paced environments and variety afforded in more of the critical care/ ER areas. I read the fundamentals book, pretty basic. I took pharmocology and pathophysiology at Samuel Merritt College about 3 years ago when I was considering their EMSN. Hope it comes in handy with LMC.

Flight nursing would absolutely give you excitement your looking for!

I am going to be honest with you guys....I have absolutely no idea what speciality I want to go into. I have always thought about OB/GYN but who knows...that may change once we do clinicals. I ordered my books today so they should be here soon.

Just thinking about how close we are to starting is making me feel :uhoh3::uhoh3:
