I ordered my kit last night, I can't wait to get it! I wish there was a simple book list, so that we knew for sure what we needed. It seems like this is their way of *making sure* we order through the bookstore. I'm not falling for it, though~lol.

woohoo finally finished all 3 online modules! that feels good. tomorrow i'm getting my final ppd test read and next week is cpr then i will have all my busywork done!

as far as books, scrubs, and shoes go, i guess i will wait until the first day when we get loaded with info. you guys are right, the piece of paper with the books scanned is pretty useless! i believe i read the bookstore will have them on august 6th, but if you guys get more information before that and we can order somewhere else for less, i may do the same!

the website says we have to order our parking passes online...does that mean they mail them to us or do we have to go pick them up before the first day of school? hopefully they just mail them out! and kristen, thanks for letting us know about long-sleeved shirts; that will be nice! :)

i'm not positive, but i think you just print out a *temporary* parking pass on your computer, and then i assume they mail you the official pass. i just noticed a bunch of temp parking passes when i went down there during the summer. i tried to purchase mine today but they aren't available for fall yet? good job on your modules :) i still have to do mine, but everything else is done. i just have to go turn my paperwork in!!

only 17 days to go!! has anyone turned their packet in? i have to go down this week and do that. i got my kit last week...it was so exciting~lol.

i have my packet turned in and online classes done; just cpr left! have you girls started ordering books yet? the online bookstore says what we need, and the bundle is like $724!! omg is that for the two years or just the first? i hope we can find them elsewhere for less! :/

i'm using my friend's books but i have always bought my text books from abebooks.com or amazon.com. way cheaper!! i think i heard that the book bundle is for the first year only? i'm not positive about that, though.

i got my papers turned in today :) i just have to work on those modules and then i'm ready to start!! 2 weeks and 2 days...not that i'm counting or anything

My friend got the call this morning that she's IN!! I'm super excited :) She was alternate #17. She got the call on her cell because she's in Hawaii on her honeymoon! lol How cool is that? Get married, take a wonderful vacation, and find out you're in the nursing program...all in one week!! Lucky girl

wow kristen; that's awesome about your friend! it sounds like you know quite a few people going into this program! i am getting so excited for the first day!! i was wondering how much the scrubs cost for us and also, what other "accessories" we needed from the scrubs store? i re-read that you said someone from the store was selling them at the meet and greet. i need to just make a trip over there, but i can't until next week. so just wondering what to expect :)

Hey everyone. Sorry I haven't been on here in awhile. I've been sick at least I got it over with before school starts!! I have done everything except order books and my kit. Has anyone found the books elsewhere or cheaper. I just don't want to spend $700+ on books right now. Is everyone getting their books before next week or waiting until class starts? I'm SO excited yet nervous for class to start. See you all soon!!
