It's been going pretty good, obviously no program is perfect but instructors are nice and helpful. And clinicals is where you learn a lot more in terms of skills because you only get 3 weeks of orientation for basic skills like vital signs, bed baths, etc. before you start going to your clinical site. It's time consuming but doable. You have to be flexible is something they tell us early on and to just take it one day at a time.

Well we don't do preceptorships until the last semester and they usually start after Spring break so we haven't been informed much about that. From what I've heard we are given a form to fill out preferences for unit, but it's not guaranteed and it's based on what they have available at the time. Some units that I heard the 2nd years say they got were L&D, ER, MedSurg, Dialysis clinic. But yes, preceptorship is at the end of the last semester.
