Los Medanos College (LMC) ADN - Fall 2024

I am posting this for the students applying to LMC's Nursing program that starts in Fall of 2024. This is for everyone to meet, congregate, post statistics, and help one another in the application process. 

The application opened on 1/3/24 and is set to close 2/2/24.

Thank you Jen!  Super helpful to know some details from last year (I've ready to entire ADN 2023 thread here as well).    

I just called the nursing dept of the college today to verify we can take the TEAS twice, and that is correct.  They said that the 1st phase does come out as they process them, and its quite the long process to verify everything.  So try not to worry if you haven't heard back (I haven't yet, but applied almost at the deadline).  The email about taking the TEAS won't come until end of May, with the testing almost always being on the 2nd Tuesday in June.  

Leslie, I'm going to take the test in June at LMC.  I had to drive an hour away to another junior college when I took it the first time (I didn't want to take at home and have an internet outage, or computer issue) and this will be much easier for me than driving far away again.

Awesome Lisa, it's great to see the consistency here. I am impressed you got through to talk to someone live, I've tried a few times with no luck. By chance did you ask what the threshold of total points has been the last couple of years?  I found a thread from a couple of years ago and a few of those admitted were sharing their total points, although this year may be slightly different since LMC will allow 2 attempts. 
 

I think I'm going to take the TEAS the end of April to gauge if I'll take it in June also.

I didn't think to ask, that would have been awesome information to have too!  Can I ask what the past thread was?  I'd love to see the past totals too!

Hey guys, Did anyone here apply to CCC's (Contra Costa) program? They sent out their lottery results last week.

I applied ccc just for kicks. Because I met all the points but I had no time of doing about 2 nursing classes they had needed. They knocked me out because of the 2 classes I had not done though I met the points system. I was 50 50 about it. Though losing I am happy I gave a shot

I have applied to Los medanos RN program. Today they have sent me a message telling me my application is in process to keep checking my invite. Fingers crossed PALS

Good for you!! As long as you're putting your name out there you never know what may hit. Good luck with getting into LMC!

Yes, I applied to about 7 or 8 schools. I have already gotten answers back from 3. How many schools are you waiting on?

Am waiting on 7 schools. I just received a conditional acceptance for los medanos

Acceptance? Or a confirmation of your points saying you qualified for Phase 1? I don't think we are getting Phase 2 acceptance until next month. How many points did you have?

Can I please ask when you applied?  I'm still waiting on my response from the school.
