I didn't see a Spring 2017 thread for LA Pierce College. Have any of you applied?
They have several locations. Clinical placement is totally random and you are NOT allowed to ask be placed at a specific location. They have Tarzana, St Joe's in Burbank, Holy Cross in Mission Hills and West Hills hospital. The West Hills group is having a lot of problems right now (with the hospital-school contract) so that group still hasn't seen any patients in the hospital, aand the semester is more than half way over. Anyway, clinicals run from 630 am -330 pm two days a week
Really really tough. We have exams once a week. For your first semester, you will be taking 4 class. Adult Health Care, Psych, Geriatric Nursing, and Pharmacology. We are the first class to use the ebook system, which was way overpriced if you ask me. The ebook system doesn't include physical textbooks, so you'll have to purchase those sep if you want them. We have two classes on Mon and two classes on Wed. Clinicals are Thursday and Friday. It's a tremendous amount of work, just emphasizing that again. Classes start at 8 am on Monday and 9 am on Wed. 630 am start for clinicals, which means if you have to commute to the Burbank location, you're up early. I live in Calabasas and they assigned me St Joe's, so it's totally random and they do not assign you based off your location and you can't ask. They are very very strict on tardiness and being absent.
Depends on the instructor. Some of them, I won't give names are really bad about emailing people or clarifying instructions. Pierce is really close to my house, plus the cost of the program is cheap when you compare it to other schools. I feel like they're preparing us really well for the NCLEX. All of my classmates are super friendly/helpful.

Has anyone received an invitation to take the TEAS? I haven't heard anything from the nursing department since I dropped my application. The last email I got was an email from the department letting me know that they received my application.
