Los Angeles Harbor College Spring 2017

Published

Hey guys! I've just applied to LAHC for the spring 2017 semester and was wondering if anyone else has also applied here? :)

Thanks for the encouragement @vinguen1234

Just discouraging when everyone on here received an acceptance letter but me but that's alright everything happens for a reason right! Thanks for the tips for reapplying though. Does it say the date you guys have to reply by?

Fmiller11, I believe it's somewhere in January, check LAHC website as I am not 100% sure, just reapply as normal applicant next semester and on top there's a box for re-applicants (I hope you will get in!)

ttapp745, I don't think they'll drop you if you haven't taken those two courses, but I am sure they will be required to be taken at some point during the program, every program will require those two classes I think. My friend is in the program, LAHC has a very high NCLEX passing rate so it got my vote :)

Did you take those courses vinguyen1234? I got in to LA County College of Nursing and Allied Health which has really amazing clinicals and high pass rate too so i'm probably going to go that direction.

No I haven't taken those courses yet, but if they offer better clinical then go for it!!! I'm sure you will succeed everywhere as long as you are determined and committed. Best of luck!!

I got in too!! But, I will be accepting a seat at Glendale Community so hopefully this opens up a space for one of you hopefuls. Best of luck and congrats everyone! :D

Congrats!!

By any chance, do you guys know if when a student reapplies at LAHC after he/she had not attended for a year, will he/she keep the same student ID or will he/she gets a new one.

I'm pretty certain you just keep your student ID because they've told me they keep your records for a while after even if you haven't registered for a class.

I have a question though! Since we've gotten in the program, we don't manually have to apply for our nursing classes, do we? According to my account, my Spring 2017 registration date is on Monday, but that doesn't make sense to register since our orientation is in January and we have no information. Haha, I just want to make sure...

Just wait until orientation to clear things up for us, I am certain that those nursing classes will be accessible after they have logged our Student ID into the system that allows us to register. I have registered for the background check and soon will be going to get my drug test taken, you guys should too!!
