Los Angeles Harbor College Spring 2017

Published

Hey guys! I've just applied to LAHC for the spring 2017 semester and was wondering if anyone else has also applied here? :)

That's so funny because I have been doing the same thing! I'll definitely post on here if I get an email next week! I wonder how many people were chooses to take the TEAS and how many people they will pick for the program. I know there were about 200 applicants this semester!

I took the TEAS today and passed! Our testing room was full. I wanna say about 50 people. I heard that 130 teas invitations were sent out total. Not sure how many people actually showed up and sent their test scores in. Hopefully we all get accepted!

Whoa, 50?? It seemed like there were only like 20 or so for the test on Monday! I wonder if there were other times that the test was offered. Congrats on passing!! We're one step closer!

I think those were the only two days offered. Thanks you too! Science was a little rough but I got by haha

Aww man that's a lot of people haha

I was hoping there wasn't so many but it's good that everyone's getting a chance :) do you know how many people they are picking for the program? And congrats on passing! What a relief it is!

Science was rough for me too! Glad I'm not the only one who thought the science was a bit hard. I'm looking at post from earlier years and it's looks like they take anywhere between 40 to 65 people! Hopefully it's 65 haha

No way!!! Ahhh congrats guys!! Hopefully we all get in, I'm very anxious GEEZE. My friend said there were approximately 200 applicants and the rest I don't know lol you are sure the final decision will be somewhere next week?!?

200?? Geez. Yeah, I looked at threads for the Spring program from last year and the year before, and everyone said they either got accepted or rejected between late November - early December! Plus, the program starts towards the end of January according to the class catalogue for Spring 2017 (you can see when each class is scheduled under the Nursing section). So we all should know by December I think!

They said the number of people they can accept is based on the number of clinical sites that can reserve. So more clinical sites = more accepted. What we're all of your TEAS scores?

I got an overall score of 90%.

Reading: 91.5%

Math: 93.8%

Science: 85.1%

English and Language Usage: 87.5%

I wish I had gotten a higher score, just because it's competitive. What about you?

That is an amazing score!!!! I got 82% I guess the score doesn't really matter because it's a lottery system, unless you are applying somewhere else

Wow you guys both received amazing scores! I only scored a 72 which I am disappointed in but I'm just happy that I passed:) the English and language usage really brought my score down. I've never been good at "choosing what sentence is correct" with punctuation and things like that. I'm so nervous to find out if we all got in or not!!!
