  1. Thank you! I applied for PCU, Tele, and Float. I got Tele
  2. I just got a call! I got hired! Thanks for your kind wishes! ???
  3. Aww, I applied for Float Pool as one of my 3 choices. Hopefully I’ll still get a call. ?
  4. Anyone hear back from LCOM Torrance yet? My recruiter said she would get back to me either last week or “early” this week so I’m freaking out. My status on my application only says “Interview complete” not “Interview complete; under consideration” like others do. ?
  5. Which location was this for? Did you have to go through a second interview or just the first panel interview?
  6. I'm pretty certain you just keep your student ID because they've told me they keep your records for a while after even if you haven't registered for a class. I have a question though! Since we've gotten in the program, we don't manually have to apply for our nursing classes, do we? According to my account, my Spring 2017 registration date is on Monday, but that doesn't make sense to register since our orientation is in January and we have no information. Haha, I just want to make sure...
  7. I just got an e-mail today!! I got in!!

That's hard to say...the exam was pretty much like A and B combined because it took similar style questions from both. The practice exams are spot on about how questions on the real test would be phrased though.
  9. You guys received amazing scores too!! We all passed LAHC's TEAS requirement by a landslide! :) Yeah, I can't wait to hear back, at least we have the holidays to distract us haha!
  10. I got an overall score of 90%. Reading: 91.5% Math: 93.8% Science: 85.1% English and Language Usage: 87.5% I wish I had gotten a higher score, just because it's competitive. What about you?
  11. 200?? Geez. Yeah, I looked at threads for the Spring program from last year and the year before, and everyone said they either got accepted or rejected between late November - early December! Plus, the program starts towards the end of January according to the class catalogue for Spring 2017 (you can see when each class is scheduled under the Nursing section). So we all should know by December I think!
  12. Whoa, 50?? It seemed like there were only like 20 or so for the test on Monday! I wonder if there were other times that the test was offered. Congrats on passing!! We're one step closer!

Hey everyone! So, I took the ATI Teas 6 this week--which is my first time ever, by the way--and I am proud to say I scored an overall individual score of 90%! Reading: 91.5% Math: 93.8% Science: 85.1% English and Language Usage: 87.5% I took the exam on a computer, they give you scratch paper and you're allowed to use the on-screen calculator for the Math section. In terms of studying, I only had 10 days to study before the exam. I used the ATI TEAS Study Manual (6th Edition) from the ATI testing website. I went through the entire manual and answered all practice questions and quizzes. Since I had already taken my pre-reqs (Anatomy, Physiology, and Microbiology), it was pretty simple and easy to review. I also purchased the A & B practice exams online. I took A and scored 82.7%. The next day I took B and scored 78.7%. The day after (also the day of my exam), I retook A and got 95.3%. I think all of the materials really helped, since it was straight from ATI. Yes, there's a lot of mistakes in the manual, but 1) the addendum is on the website, and 2) some of the mistakes were either common sense to fix. I almost ran out of time on the actual test during the Reading, Math, and English sections. During my practice exams, however, I had more than enough time leftover. I think during the actual test, nerves just got to me and I wanted to really make sure I was reading the sentences/problems correctly because that's what knocked points off in my practice exams. So make sure to READ CAREFULLY! For example, sometimes you get ahead of yourself and think that the question is asking for the synonym, but they actually ask for the antonym. The science section is pretty straight to the point, just need to know general chemistry and basic concepts. It was more A&P focused, so make sure you really know the systems of the body and their general concepts! Also, the manual has the objectives listed for science (and all the other sections) which really helped a lot. I think the ATI study manual and practice tests were very similar to the real exam. I'm not sure how the TEAS V was, and I can't compare the versions since I never took it, but trust me, the manual helps a whole lot!
  14. Thank you! Congrats to you as well! :) I forgot there was another test scheduled for today too. I was actually going through past threads for LAHC Spring 15 and Spring 16 programs to get an idea of a timeline! Most threads said they had received an acceptance email around Nov. 25-Dec. 3. I'm SO ANXIOUS!! Let me know if you hear anything next week!
  15. How was the TEAS for all of you? I was able to take it at LAHC on Nov 14 and passed! It seemed that there were only a handful of students who were invited to take the TEAS but I'm sure there were more that already took it and sent their scores in...Do you think we have a good chance of getting in for Spring 2017? I was really excited to be receive a TEAS invitation and I hope it just means I get a chance!
